Nice quaint place! Our server was great and friendly. I had the oysters and they were amazing! Also had the pesto linguine and deviled eggs. Will go back to try other stuff. They serve a cocktail called the Roman Holiday and it's delicious. Our entire table enjoyed it.

Love the vibe! Went with a friend for my birthday and the staff was very attentive and help make the night special! Food was amazing and even had a slice of cake with a sparkler candle! Must try in downtown Durham!

Had a wonderful experience at Bar Virgile recently. Was visiting Durham on a work trip. We ventured into this location not knowing entirely what to expect and were at the very beginning of their dinner service. We had expertly crafted drinks through the entire evening and several appetizers (the fried oysters were so good). Our service was lovely and the music and atmosphere were fantastic. Will more than likely doing more work in Durham and this will be a must stop during each visit.

My first time there brought by my friend who lives here in NC and we were right away warmly welcomed by manager Dusty who showed us around! (As we weren’t sure where to sit) His warmth & humor, genuine kindness & graciousness truly made us feel so welcomed and immediately connected! Our server came by and she truly is so happy working there and started working there because she loved the environment and everyone there and I can see why! We ordered the fried oysters, Pork & wild mushrooms risotto, carbonara, 2 drinks (one Royal Monach from the specialty cocktail menu and one gin fizz from classic menu) and all were incredible! Perfect cocktails beautifully presented with just perfectly cooked food beautifully plated, namely the salt crusted pan seared scallops paired with carbonara and the perfectly tender pulled pork with wild mushrooms sautéed to perfection plated with the risotto. Mind blowing food & incredible staff! Thank you for this wonderful experience!
