I have been bringing my family here for the last 4 years and we consistently have the best meals and service. The atmosphere is fun and alive! Highly recommend the black squid pasta. If you can get Aidan as your server, she is the best- Absolutely best restaurant in Durham and Raleigh- worth the wait. Came back for graduation- brought my family in from Pittsburgh. We had an extraordinary visit once again. Aidan is no longer there but Bahar (spelling?) did a great job. Truly one of favorite experiences in Durham. Thank you for making memories for 4+ years.

Food and service were both fantastic (our sever's name was Noah). Pastas were cooked well and the flavors were great. The octopus appetizer was good as well. The best Italian food I've had at this price point!

Reservations were hard to get at a decent time a week out. Now I know why! The food and dining experience was excellent. We were celebrating a 40th bday and Mother's has been on my list a year or so... so 8 p.m. was booked. We had gnocchi, pork cheek on polenta, Arancini and lemon shrimp. The flavor combinations were perfectly matched. It was all so delicious! They were busy. But our server was very good and made sure we were taken care of. I will definitely be going for another visit and taking the hubbie.

First Time..and I have to say that I was impressed. Besides the great ambiance, the service was by far the highlight of our meal. We are still talking about it. Not your typical Italian eatery, but that's the best part. To say M&S is authentic doesn't give it enough credit. Thanks to our wonderful waitress that walked us through the enitre meal, we were able to create a wonderful dinner. It definitely got me out of my comfort zone of sticking with my "go to" Italian dishes, and inspired me to trust the Chef. I'm sure glad I did!
