While it is an older facility, my family was pleased with the experience my father had at Mount Pleasant Manor. Dad was rehabbing after hospitalization. The PT and the OT staff did an outstanding job with getting his strength built up. The nursing staff were wonderful. Particular shout outs to Linda, Sharon , Allison and the green wing. The Admission folks and Social work staff were kind and supportive as we navigated the insurance appeal process. Overall, I would recommend this place as a caring one that will support you or a loved one.

Poor care was provided to my mother. People are dying due to lack of care. Many lawsuits and DHEC complaints. Do your research. You can't bring back a love one after they are gone from medical neglect. How do these people look themselves in the mirror each day is beyond me.

I moved my grandmother from a nice facility in the DC area to Mount Pleasant Manor. She is 95 and has dementia, so we weren't sure how she would adjust (and I was quite stressed during the transition). As it turns out, my grandmother is absolutely thriving and I know it's due to the staff. She is eating more, she is slightly more cognizant and best of all she is happier. The staff are so, so friendly and interactive with the residents. They are kind and they truly care. They also give my grandmother her favorites: chocolate, coffee and "cowboy music." I cannot recommend Mount Pleasant Manor enough!

I worked here one day with agency their staff was very helpful and friendly and willing to help me with no problem which is rare in these places! They were nice to residents and they were being properly taken care of. The place is very clean. The only reason i have not given 5 stars is due to a lack of activities which I understand staffing is short I saw the boredom between residents upon waiting for meals. CNAs & Nurses are busy taking care of meds and hygiene meals etc so their is not a lot of time for one on one activities. Otherwise nice place.
