Wife and I went to Macon for the day to see what it’s all about. Decided to order to go. Picked it up on time. The shrimp and oyster poboys were practically empty. Maybe 4 or 5 pieces of shrimp and oysters respectively. It was like eating bread with a little meat in it. Their version of remoulade sauce was bland and horrible tasting. Our fries were soggy and not cooked all the way. The fried green tomatoes were soggy and greasy beyond measure. The gumbo was the most bland and barely cafeteria grade. We were too far away at that point to bring the food back and decided to force it down because we were so hungry but threw half of it away. Maybe they were having a bad day but when everything was so subpar it was very disappointing. We wouldn’t eat there again if we were given free meals. They need to send their cooks to New Orleans to find out how it’s supposed to be done.

The really hit the nail on the head in here! The food, drinks and atmosphere were lovely. Our bartender was personable and we really enjoyed the brunch menu. I loved my bloody Mary topped with fried okra, fried shrimp and green olives. The breakfast sandwich was a great way to start my day. Will be back again.
