I was in an accident and was transported to the Camden campus. On the ride there, I regained my composure. When I arrived, I refused all treatment from the hosptial ER as I knew I was fine and just wanted to go home. I was in the ER for no more than 20 mins, in the hallway, still sitting in the bed the bus brought me in on. I refused all services, even vitals, and was just waiting to be released. A woman from billing came up to me multiple times, trying to get me to sign consent to treat forms, which I again refused. She became annoyed and kept trying to convince me to stay and seek treatment. She went as far as to say I didn't seem mentally competent enough to deny treatment, which I proved very quickly that I was competent and that I am going to leave. My husband witnessed the last time she harassed me just as he picked me up to leave. Next thing I know, I'm getting a $600 bill in the mail for treatment I didn't except. I was never seen by a doctor, but I was charged for it! Billing never answered the phones. I came in physically to figure it out and they gave me the number to the Brunswick campus, who never got back to me after multiple attempts to contact. At that point my bill was in collections and it's sat there since as I've continued to try and contest it and speak to ANYONE who knows what I can do. I'm to the point where I will probably contact an attorney as this is absolutely ridiculous.

My boyfriend needed an emergency appendectomy and they had finished the surgery within 6 hours of us getting in the er. He is now in recovery and can come home the next day! All the nurses we had in the er and in recovery were fantastic and accommodated for his type 1 diabetes through it all.

This emergency room gets so much flack but my husband and I have never once had a bad experience. We had to use their services twice in the past month. My husband injured his foot and they got him in, brought the X-ray machine into his room and had him bandaged up within an hour. They sent him home with meds and instructions to get him through until he could get in with his primary. I had bronchitis and was experiencing some chest issues that had me nervous. They had me in, taken care of and back home within two hours, all while being short staffed. Despite their staffing issues, every single person from security to the doctor was in a good mood and was kind and caring.

If I could rate this place any worse I would. They need to hire real Dr's. I broke my ankle and foot the Dr told me to exercise it which I can't move it. Told me to mortin for pain. 3 weeks later my foot still can't move and in pain. I called the hospital to complain and they said they could make another appointment for tomorrow I live a hour away, so now basically told me good luck and hope it heals. I will never return to that place all Dr have bad bedside manner.
