Beautiful hiking trail! Parts of it were very steep, but it was worth the effort!

Surprised how nice this trail is! Hundreds of 500+-year-old Doug Fir and Western Red Cedar treesall over the trail. It’s relentlessly steep but a few great tunnels made by trees that would be fun for kids to go under or around.

There's a good amount of snow on the road at the trailhead and I recommend carrying chains. The snow along the trail is deep and difficult to traverse at times. Ice along some ledges proved hair raising but a couple with crampons appeared to have no trouble.

Good workout on this hike, started in no snow and got into snow as we Climbed, only saw two other people while we hiked, trail up top was 12 inches of snow, so be prepared to use micro spikes when needed, the top loop is confusing, its just a big loop so no matter the path you take at top you will make it down
