The Cashiers-stationed officer was very helpful and familiar enough with the roads on high around here, and where at the tree banks significantly lower. In the densely populated area I’m from, it would be disaster without shoulders and stadium lighting nearly everywhere, while we have a nice share of country roads that may narrow. It might be an abashed admission to be out of one’s element. The officer also admitted the roads there were scary, which was very grounding for the occasion. Given that I had no trust in my mental map having not driven the spots in daylight at all, I’m very glad to have not rear-ended into any trees lining the inner bend before a sharper turn on Trillium Ridge Rd. If you’re saving an address into your hardwired gps, the address will only be so precise on most visiting properties. And it’s vastly drastically pitch dark at night fall. There’s some nighttime eateries and be assured, they’re certainly not traversing back to quarters. That’s not the design.

Yesterday when I came home to someone “passed out” on my porch after seeing video from a home camera that he’d tried getting inside my house (I have a picture of his hand on my door knob while holding a jug of lighter fluid) jackson county deputies responded & took the guy to jail! The three officers who showed up, KJ Adams, Rollie James & unsure of the others name but they were all amazing! I can not thank them enough. However is what is so disheartening is this guy was CLEARLY on drugs (he was barefoot) was released from jail 20 minutes after being taken in! That is a spit in the cops face from the magistrate! They did their job & it’s time the magistrate & court system do theirs! I am mind blown unto how fast this guy was out of jail.... we the people & our local cops need to be able to count on the court system. SHAME ON THE MAGISTRATE WHO DECIDED THIS YESTERDAY, I’m sure if it were your house he was at yesterday instead of mine then he would still be in jail!!!!

My sister and I were were victims of a hit and run on Sunday the 19th of August. Officer Bradon Hooper responded to the scene He stayed with us to make sure we were ok. He also, came back to check and see if Highway Patrol had arrived. When he realized the Highway Patrol had not responded he called to see how long it would be. Finally, he came back a final time to sit with us after the store we were in front of closed. He made us feel safe and protected His caring personality and responsiveness made a horrible situation somewhat better. Thank you so much for everything.
