Oh no a little smoke near the high way Is a "raging grass fire" so we must block 82 West and have only our finest (largest and not in a body builder way) just stand there without any detours, rhyme or reason. If your gonna be out in "force" to "protect" then do the serve part and have your people direct traffic to get where they need to go. I've been through neighborhoods in Chicago more dangerous than this...... I support our men and women in blue, not weaponized autism.

People of Wichita Falls can sleep safe knowing that there is no crime happening....because if there was real crime going on, the PD wouldn't be camping on a bridge ticketing people for going a few mph over the speed limit on an empty highway, right!? To be fair, Officer Castillo wasn't rude and he was professional, but seriously, don't you have real crime to fight instead of harassing people for going 85 mph (to be determined) in a 75 mph zone on an empty highway? Mild speeding doesn't cause accidents, erratic driving does. You have people driving like lunatics on meth, jumping from lane to lane and cutting people off, but you're too lazy to go out and observe that. Instead, you choose to sit in one spot, scoping people out for speeding because it requires less effort. Do you honestly feel like you're making the highways safer? I respect police in general, but that respect has to be earned, and sitting on a bridge waiting for an easy ticket ain't cutting it. That's not service, that's hustling.

Very impressed with the service from Witchita Falls PD. I would be traveling through their area (after 9PM at night) and staying in a motel in an area that appeared not-so-great (per online sources & reviews), so I called the non-emergency line for their take on should I change the motel, location and/or any precautions. Left a message and received a prompt callback from Tyler. True Texas hospitality! Friendly, informative and not a bad little town. There's really not too much to see, but it's a great stop along the way especially when exhausted.
