Beautiful and quiet. Super clean bathrooms. Gorgeous views of the lake and surrounding mountains. We stayed here in late April and woke up to a pretty dusting of snow. It made for an incredibly beautiful drive out of the state park through the mountains. As we were leaving the state park, we saw 8 elk cross the road in front of us and make their way to the lake. Amazing! The city of Eagle Nest is also quite cute and looks like a fun place in the summer. We can't wait to come back here!

Every trip this year has been amazing. The fish I'm catching are near five pounds on average. The views there will always be breathtaking. π

Itβs a very tranquil and beautiful place by nature. The park has only 19 camping lots but far apart from one another and rsvp is highly recommended. The Eagle Nest village is only couple of miles away from an opposite site of the campsite with some good places for food. Iβd give it a 5 stars if they have a common rv dumpster on site.

Hands down my FAVORITE New Mexico State Park! Well worth the drive from Albuquerque. The views speak for themselves providing a 360 degree spectacular sight, day and night. The Park Rangers are incredibly helpful and kind.

Yes
We were out there 4 days this past week and had a great breeze all day, sometimes the water got a little rough but calmed down a few hours later.
Yes!
Unfortunately not :( All state parks are closed for two weeks starting yesterday
Yes and it's a great place to stay especially if you are visiting someone graduating from boot camp.
No not at the park but right up the road there's an RV park that does
Yes the signs are posted at dock no fishing or swimming but we always swim to the side of dock
Fishing had been excellent. Dump site is located in Eagle Nest. Pay depending on item being dump. Posted a front gate.
Today the fish hatchery stocked it with 80,000 3 inch fingerling π trout. So in a month or so.
Yes there is tent camping. It is near the lake information building and near the boat ramp.
Rainbow Trout, Yellow Perch, Kokanee Salmon and Pike.
Sorry, I don't know that but there are very helpful park employees there you can find at the marina. There's a very large parking lot there and you will definitely find a park employee who will be able to answer any questions.
Don't know about State Park campground. Many RV parks around lake. All have water at sites. Most are full hookups.
