Enjoyed the Okra soup with shrimp over rice , corn bread and lemonade. This was Saturday and the crowd was not there as I have seen on other days. Usually the line is long. They had a wide selection of soul food dishes, hot and ready. I believe when you google soul restaurants in Charleston, Bertha's is suggested. Food is reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and ready to serve

Living in Charleston since the 80s I've had lots of my friends mom's cooking and pot lucks at work that I found of better flavor. For $15 a plate I'd rather spend that much at mustard seed or Paige's okra. There's no prices pretty much anywhere and what is published doesn't seem to ring up that way.
