We enjoyed Benny's a lot for the first few years it was open, driving from the far side of Mount Pleasant to get their pizza. However, for the last few years, both service and quality have absolutely fallen off. Now, you're lucky if even one slice of the pizza hasn't had a giant bubble push the toppings aside, to receive a thank you at purchase, or have enough sauce and cheese to consider it pizza. After three very disappointing visits in a row, we will be skipping Benny's for the next year or more. If they're still in business later, maybe we'll try them again.

Very good comfort food pizza. Staff genuinely friendly & helpful. This place doesn't look like much from the street view but is well worth a stop! Out of town visitor here just passing by.

First and foremost, let me state that I never write negative reviews and would never do so for any business unless I was treated as this company treated me. To make a long story short, the gentleman who rang my girlfriend and I up charged us twice. The reason this happened was because we decided to add drinks and were planning on paying for them separately, but the guy behind the counter stated the first charge hadn't gone through yet, so he went ahead and charged it a second time with a tip. The next day, I looked at my credit card statement and realized he had charged me twice. So I called the restaurant and explained the situation while also sending over a copy of my credit card statement (twice) showing the charges. After two weeks of trying to get this resolved with the GM and her never getting back to me like she said she would multiple times, she finally told me there was nothing she could do for me. I told her that the company clearly charged me twice and that she was mistaken, as evidenced by my credit card statement, and she basically told me again, sorry about my luck, and there was nothing she would do to correct the mistake or even attempt to make it right. Basically, she forced me to go through the hassle of contacting my bank to initiate a chargeback, which I did. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I used to enjoy going to this place, even though the pizza is just average, but now that I know they don't right their wrongs, I'm going elsewhere. It is very disappointing, and there are too many honest restaurants out there to settle for this type of customer service.

Covid safety practices that I know of are exclusively outside seating, the use of sanitary papers for opening the door, a shield for when you're ordering and talking to the person making the pizza and a group limit of 8 people per group. They also have hand sanitizer available near where you retrieve your napkins. If there are any procedures for those working there I'm not quite sure what they are but as someone who also works in food and bev, I would assume frequent sanitization of the work station as well and hand washing procedures for employees should be in place. The employee I saw the other day was wearing a mask as well.
