Was referred to Dr. Ahmed in December, 2017 with complaints of muscle fatigue, joint pain, 'flare ups' in my chest muscles and elevated labs after my primary doctor suspected rheumatoid arthritis. Finally saw her in April, 2018. I felt she was more perturbed at my primary doctor suspecting RA than she was with my symptoms and issues, like she was offended that a primary doctor attempted to diagnose a patient instead of the specialist. She spent a long time looking over the labs and referral and kept rhetorically asking, "Who told you you had RA?" She told me I didn't have anything autoimmune and my elevated labs meant nothing. Ended up giving me a hand out on exercises to do, recommended I increase the amount of my daily ibuprofen (she told me I could take up to 3200mg a day😳), and sent me on my way. No extra labs, no other options, no further look or investigation into my symptoms, NOTHING!!! I felt ashamed and belittled, because even though I KNEW something was going on, she did an awesome job in persuading me that it was all in my head and my doctor was wrong for referring me. Nothing for the $300 I was charged to see her. The experience made me gun-shy and I vowed to not make a big deal out of it again and just live with the pain. Today, a year and a half later, I am STILL dealing with it and my symptoms are worse. I moved from the Augusta area to outside of Atlanta and the rheumatologist I am seeing now is looking further into why the same labs that were elevated when I saw Dr. Ahmed are elevated now; that's what a GOOD specialist does. A whole year and a half lost with money down the drain. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO SEE HER! BEWARE!

Hi Ms. Milne - our new practice is located at 1109 Medical Center Drive, Suite 2B, Augusta, GA 30909 (next to Doctor's Hospital).
Dear Ms. Alasadi - I'm sorry about your negative experience with the office staff/patient coordinator at my previous location. Since that time, I have established my own solo practice with a focus on providing the best experience possible for my patients, both existing and new. If you are still in need of a Rheumatologist, please give me a call at 706-305-9500.
