Behind Northrop
The Church Street Garage and Nolte Center Garage are both closer, but limited in space. Sometimes you can preorder parking with your tickets. Either Washington Avenue Ramp or 4th Street Ramp are your best bet.
Closest parking is at the Church Street garage. Multiple other ramps/garages within walking distance.
You cannot usually reserve parking. There may or may not be valet parking for your event. Allow ample time to park in a nearby ramp and walk over to Northrup.
It looks like he played there back in October 2018. It doesn't appear as though he is currently scheduled for an event there per their website: http://www.northrop.umn.edu/events/all
At the show I attended last month, they made you pay for a souvenir cup if you wanted to bring your drink in to the show.
There is a parking ramp
There were a number of small restaurants, including fast food. Any shopping was likely to be small shops. Some bars.
