Absolutely stunning interior, very good sound team, and acoustics. We went and saw wardruna play, and it was amazing. From start to finish.

Nice theater to see shows. Great classic look of older theaters. Nice friendly staff.

The theatre itself does NOT have parking. But MANY public lots are within walking distance - ALL are paid, usually with a credit card NOT debit cards, or cash at the kiosks located on each site. 1 block east is a bank with protected parking that is connected via skyway so it's a great bargain.
I have a prior engagement on the 18th. Would love to go, seen them on the PBS special. There fantastic. Thank you for asking. I'm also handicapped and need special seating.
It opened in Febrary 1921.
From the Hennepin Theatre Trust website: "Due to the fact that there is no elevator at the State Theatre, patrons with mobility restrictions, including walking up or down stairs, should purchase tickets on the main floor."
Student/Educator rush only. Valid ID required. 2 tix per ID, $40 per ticket. Cash only sales. Sales begin 2 hours prior to show time. Limited seats available. Mostly will be single seats available, so likely you will not sit together, if purchasing 2 tickets. FYI- Wicked is performing at the Orpheum Theatre.
Yes,pictures work fine. Show up early and there is a table in the hallway between the theater and rock bottom brewery. You can go check in and get a wristband early before the show starts. When we went to a comedy show we were able to skip the line because we verified in advance.
I believe if you purchased the tickets, you can do what you want with them.
I would suggest going on to their website and finding the contact us link.
There's 2 main aisle.
They do except both.
You can put any name on will call for picking up tickets. Just go to window and give name.
you have to be in your designated chair!!
The State Theatre does not have an elevator. Orpheum and Pantages do have elevators. I work at these theatres.
No, just $2 processing fee.
I would call or check online. It's a possibility it could be canceled
Excellent sight lines from the balcony.
At the concerts I have been to, people standing at their seat, only blocked two rows back in the balcony due to the steepness of the seats. People stayed near their seats.
Yes. Right up to show time, as long as the show isn't sold out.
The State Theater parking is available - enter on S 9th St between Hennepin and LaSalle Ave S.
My bag was visually checked before entering the theatre just to buy tickets. I don't think a breast pump would be prohibited. But since generally scheduled shows run 2 to 2.5 hours with a 15 min. Intermission, pumping may not be needed. And if it IS needed i did NOT see separate facilities for mothers, only very narrow bathroom stalls in a well appointed basement reached only by stairs. To be sure I'd contact the box office and ask for the house manager to advise you. Personally, I would NOT attend until i had a 3 hour window due to the difficulty of preserving the milk afterward.
If the 3 year old can sit through a movie they should get through this. It's lovely. Go see it.
It really depends on the show but staff try to have the doors open 45 minutes to an hour before the show.
If you are looking for local rock bottom brewery is also in the sane building
Please contact the venue for this information.
And by buying at the theater box office you avoid the service fees of $20 or so per ticket at ticket master
It depends on the type of ticket. If the ticket says not valid if not printed, please print the ticket.
Box Office Hours Monday-Friday: 10:00am to 5:00pm Saturday: Noon to 3:00pm Sunday: Closed Summer hours close on Fridays at 3:00pm, if there is not a show that evening.
Depending on when it starts, the latest you'll be in the venue is ten to fifteen minutes after midnight.
Park in lots around the theatre
There is a ramp in LaSalle plaza that you can take an elevator up to the street level of the building. From there it is two right turns and you are in the theatre outer lobby
The theatre itself doesn't have parking but there is the former Dayton's ramp across the street on 8th and LaSalle. The LaSalle plaza ramp is also an option it is in the same building.
For Broadway shows, an hour before the show. For all others it depends on the production team.
There was alcohol sold at the shows I have attended. The policy is anyone over age 6. You would just need a valid ID to purchase alcohol.
