I heard it was good but it’s not, no fish even if you stay there for 4+ hours trying

Came here with my wife and child after a co-worker recommended it. Much like everyone else here has said, this place is a joke.. Would not recommend this poorly ran pond to anyone, the lake is better than here and from what I can tell, they do not stock any longer. So here is today's experience that led to me giving this review. We got there around 3 o'clock and a sign on the "office" said they would be back in 30 minutes with a number to call, which no one answered. We sat around waiting for close to an hour before deciding to just fish and pay if someone showed up since they didn't have a dropbox either. The fishing was terrible. No bites, even after switching between all the separate ponds. At this point my 4 year old son is very disappointed and getting tired so we gather our stuff and start loading the car. My son wanted to play on the playground for a minute before we left so I told my wife we should stay a little longer to see if we could pay before leaving, even though this place wasn't even worth the gas money spent to get here. At this point my decision to be a good Samaritan paid off, as this short elderly woman with what looked like a dollar store hair dye job proceeded to get out of the car and started yelling from across the parking lot startling my son. I had no idea who this woman was, and she starts pressing asking if I am fishing, to which I responded "Excuse me but who are you?" Which only seemed to make the woman who I now know to be "Millie" (the owner!) More angry and flustered. I said ma'am I was fishing with my son but we were about to leave, and again asked who she was since she's making somewhat of a scene at this point. After a strenuous moment of listening to her saying she can't hear me and choking out some sort of semblance to "and what are all these people and cars doing here?! You know you have to pay!!!" I tried to calmly explain to her that, in fact, I had went out of my way to wait for someone to come back so I could pay for this incredible fishing experience (what a joke). She stammered out what she probably thought sounded like an apology and proceeded to continue her angry tirade, asking who all the other people were around the pond. My wife tried to help explain to her as best she could which cars belonged to which people. I truly cannot believe what Millie did next.. After helping this old woman figure out what was going on at her fishing pond and justifying our presence there, feverishly trying to convince her that we were in fact customers, not criminals or gang members coming to destroy her land? This woman has the balls to shake my wife's hand which happened to be sweating and responded "Oh my God, that's the most disgusting thing I've touched all day!" Up until this point I may have considered coming back to this miserable, lifeless hell hole and trying my hand at the fish again. But after this encounter I can say for sure we won't be coming back to visit and I genuinely hope you don't either. Save yourself the verbal abuse from some old hag, save your kids the dissapointment of a crushingly lifeless fishing trip, and save your wallet all the money you would have wasted here. Go to the lake! Go and fish the river! But whatever you do, please, don't "Go Fish!". Place sucks 0/5 stars.

0/10 would not recommend. Heard this was a good place for families. Took our son, no one was there with a sign posted "Be back in 30mins" no drop box or anything, so we left went and got some bait, come back and go ahead fishing and decide we'll pay if someone hopefully comes back. It was 2+ hours. Others fishing, we figured maybe no one tends to it anymore. We're done because nothing caught and a few people out there at first. Some saying, "you won't catch anything." But then wait, as we're about to leave... This woman pulls up and starts aggressively asking why we're there and what we're doing. Having never been there we're a little taken back and confused as she doesn't state who she is or to why she's asking. We explain and tell her no one was here, we finished fishing and would like to pay if she's the owner. No one has been here. So after my husband pays I then begin to explain to her the cars that have been there because she seemed visibly upset people were there fishing and since I know this is a business that needs their payment from customers i tell her what i can. She thanks me and goes to shake my hand, I reach out regrettingly telling her "I'm so sorry, my hands are super sweaty." she proceeds to shake my hand and say "wow, that's the most disgusting thing I've touched all day." I am grown and can get past such a rude thing to say, however was completely in disgust over the gull and complete unprofessionism of her choice in words and attitude when she showed up. She was also sure to say please come see us again, but after the disrespect and poor time we had there, I absolutely will not be back nor recommend this to anyone. Honestly, go to any lake, river, or pond in oconee, or pickens. And you don't have to pay 15 per person to be disrespected and not catch things, or at least that was our experience.

Spent $15 per person, there were 3 of us so $45 just to catch nothings. No Bites. None. And each of us had 3 rods plus we used herring, chicken livers, and night crawlers. Worst fishing trip ever. Would have been worse had my friends not come along for this 2pm to 8:30pm nightmare!

Went last week paid for me and my son sat there about 4 hours and only caught to fish. I was told when I called that they recently just had the pond stocked up. Two Saturdays ago. I guess they had it stopped up with minnows because nothing else was there besides the two would I go back not whatsoever. And I was using different bait
