Our experience with PODS has been nothing short of horrific. We arranged for the delivery of a container in our driveway to ship our belongings from Minnesota to Vermont. Instead, the container was dropped off on a street within 30' of an intersection (illegal) on a snow route (illegal) without a permit (illegal) or permission from us (against the contract). When we called to schedule the delivery of our container to our new home, we were told that PODS does not deliver to the state of Vermont whatsoever, even though that was the location identified when signing the contract and the sole purpose of our using their services in the first place. One PODS representative offered us a free month of storage as we tried to come up with a game plan; this offer was declined by management but we were not notified, leaving us with 24 hours to rent a truck to retrieve all of our belongings from the container to avoid being charged the extra unused month. Moving is stressful enough. Please don't waste your time with a company that will illegally place your container, then refuse to deliver it where contracted to, then refuse to do anything at all to try to make up for the significant hardships caused by their contract violations.

It was very convenient to get the unit dropped at my home, then I didn't see it again until we got to southern California. At this end, it worked out well to go to their storage facility and empty the pod. I would definitely use them again.
