Rather slow service for a takeout order. I expected a sausage sub to have link sausage in it, not crumbled bits of sausage like you'd put on a pizza. This is my first visit to LaMama. I will try it again to see if this was a fluke. Well I did order takeout I will note that the seating area is quite spacious.

Our first time visiting and happy we did. I enjoyed the sausage, pepper, and cheese sub. When we do more work up here we will visit again. We have found a place where we enjoyed our lunch.

We have been eating there for many years and the food and staff have always class A for seniors and everyone else. Unfortunately this past week we found a very different situation. I attempted to order just a sub sandwich and water, normally $7.93 plus tax if memory serves me. The young man behind the counter said that it would be $10.40 . There was a sign stating that a sub combo was $9.73 I think plus tax. So I just paid the $10.40 thinking that I was getting a combo and decided to not argue with this guy. My wife decided to speak the to manager and he returned some money in an attempt to make it right. But this employee decided to push it further when I came to get a refill on my tea, I was not suppose to get tea, but water simply because of his mistaken actions. I felt that he had a threating attitude toward me. I got my tea and returned to my table. As seniors, we have a right to protect ourselves in this society. Situations like this is why I have a carry permit as most of my friends and church members. According to my training and schooling for my carry permit, unfortunately this is exactly what they trained us for. The manager indicated to me that this fellow was one of his best employees and he was just having a "Bad Day". Well he made a "Bad Day" for two seniors. I guess that I should have been thankful that I did not get the 2nd best employee. We will not go back for fear that we will receive the same kind of service of worse. I certainly would not invite any of our church friends to dine there. This all too bad,. this place has always been a great place to eat and not need you carry permit. You do now in my opinion. No one ever apologized or said that they were sorry. caveat emptor {Buyer Beware)
