Service was slow not sure if it was intentional. Seemed intentional. Food was bland. Chips was stale and salsa was watery. Second time I’ve tried. Thought maybe first time was a bad day. Second time around was not any better.

Had mediocre an bland chips and salsa to start. Was really hoping a great food but left more hungry then full. Order street tacos no flavor or a nice lime to add good taste. Bland flavors overall. Rude wait staff. Taco Bell has better quality and that’s not real Mexican.

Located in the basement part of the building. Stairs are steep, be extra careful. The first thing that hits you is the moldy smell, yuch. The rug should really be removed. The server we had was the only positive thing, he really did try his best, but there is only so much he can do with what he has. There was a lady there, that I'm not sure if she's one of the owners, but she was talking so loud it was not appropriate. She was talking about inspectors visit ?? and the issues that the restaurant needs to get fixed. Customers should not be hearing those things. I wanted to leave, but I didn't want to be rude to our server, it wasn't his fault. I ordered a spicy margarita, which was good. Then we had the chopped guacamole, which was very fresh and tasty. That was it. I didn't like anything else. I ordered the carne asada, there was no seasoning on that meat. It needs it bad. The rice and refried beans were cold. The rice had no flavor and the beans looked so sad, no color or flavor. I tried to add flavor with the sauce they bring out with their chips, but that tasted like plain tomato sauce. I went there because I read good reviews, but this is totally a Mexican restaurant catering to bland tastes, not of a true Mexican nature. Irregardless of the fact that they've in been in the area for over 25 years, that doesn't mean they've changed with the times. JUST ADD FLAVOR, FRESHNESS AND SPICES. AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT AWFUL BASEMENT SMELL.

My son has been to this restaurant several times with his high school buddies after school. He said each time the staff is very rude to them because they are teens. Paying customers are paying customers regardless of age. Too bad you treated the boys with disrespect as they will surely not return, no will I. Money lost and now a bad review too.
