I've had Sharonview for over 4 years and never had an issue until recently. They suspected fraudulent activity on my account (which I don't understand why when it's the same autopayment that's been coming out every friday for 2 years), and decided to report my credit card as lost. First of all I went through hoops trying to figure out why my card was reported as lost. My card was declining all of my transactions and when I finally called the CSR on the phone stated she didn't know who reported it because it was "just a phone call' when I could've sworn when you call about your account you have to answer all the security questions just to talk about the account. So how is it that someone reported MY card as lost and yall don't know who it is? Lol so after calling the hotline twice AND going to this branch and the one in Simpsonville, I was finally informed that someone in the frauds department reported my card as lost after not being able to contact me about the autopayment they thought was fraudulent. The lied and said they called me twice and sent me an email. Which is completely a lie. If I EVER was to recieve a call or email from Sharonview I will open it QUICK. That's where my money is. Of course I'm going to open it. So that's was total false. So no text message, call, or email about them turning off my card. Above all other things I've been going through with them recently this ticked me off the most. And to make matters even more annoying the branch couldn't issue me an instant debit card like usual because of "the account status" which idek what that means and or why it matters. I'm leaving them asap. Do not bank with them. Go somewhere better.

I have recently opened an Auto Loan with this Credit Union. Unfortunately it has been nothing but a pain, they can’t set up checking accounts over the phone, even if they have you identified. Setting up online was fine, however due to some information that they have not matching my application was declined. When I called back, they can’t do anything for me, they have to send me over to a specialist. That’s fine but I have to wait another whole 24 hours, a big inconvenience. They make the process so inconvenient, it’s almost as if they do not want new members. I had heard good things about the credit Union, however now it’s confirmed it’s just that it’s not true. I would highly recommend going somewhere else for opening a new account.

By far the worst experience I've had in 20 years. Their online portal is laughable. To say it is glitchy would be an understatement. If you're planning on using an outside bank to pay on your auto loan, don't. Their hours are very inconvenient if you work. Dont worry, you'll get repeatedly hung up on after you've waited half an hour on the phone already. I've never seen a bank be so inefficient before. I'm honestly shocked.
