The staff members are very knowledgable and will answer any questions you may have. I always enjoy spending my time at Kanna almost every weekend. It's in a great location to chill on the patio before going out around South End.

Tried using the QR code received with my package for the 10% off on my next order and it wouldn’t work. Their website is also always freezing, had all my stuff in the cart and was ready to checkout, hit the “proceed to checkout” option multiple times and it wouldn’t work. Also couldn’t find an email to contact them about this issue, really wish they ran their site better cuz the baOX i got was actually pretty good, standard shipping took forever tho.

Anything called CBD cream is just a cream-based topical infused with CBD. Most high-quality health and beauty creams are about half oil and half water to preserve moisture in the skin Some topicals have other minor cannabinoids and terpenes. Creams are thicker, and especially those with high fat content and emollient qualities might help dry skin and those with itchy skin conditions. Balms and salves are made with wax and oil, making them absorb more slowly and work well for massing into muscles, for chronic pain. Roll-on tinctures offer joint pain relief. CBD has been shown to reduce or eliminate pain, headaches, migraines, arthritis, muscle aches, inflammation, anxiety, depression, eczema, rashes, sunburns, other skin ailments and more. Shower gel: pain management and to alleviate skin disorders such as eczema, psoriasis, rashes, sunburns and acne.
A cream is a preparation of medication for topical use that contains a water base. An ointment is a preparation of a medication for topical use that contains an oil base- a preparation of water in oil. While ointments have a higher concentration of oil, creams have a higher concentration of water.

When looking at CBD from a sales tax perspective, it is important to note that state laws vary widely on the topic. Some states only allow usage for medical treatments. Others limit the amount of THC content found in CBD. New York taxes CBD oil as Tangible Personal Property, stating this product does not qualify as a health supplement or medicine. CBD is subject to a 7% excise tax. California has a cannabis excise tax of 15% to all cannabis retailers from distributors in California. The retailers then charge their consumers the excise tax as well. However, CBD products that are derived from hemp and contain only traces of THC are not subject to cannabis excise tax but are subject to sales tax as the sale of TPP. Florida’s CBD oil is taxable as TPP unless it qualifies for a medicinal product or is sold by a Medical Marijuana Treatment Center. Vermont considers CBD as TPP which is subject to a 6% rate.

Yes, we can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
D-8 is legal in NC. Just as with federal law, NC made all cannabinoids (other than Delta-9 THC) legal.
Yes, you can legally buy CBD online across the US as long as it's derived from industrial hemp containing THC below 0.3% by weight.
A lab test report, or certificate of analysis (COA) for any CBD brand show results for cannabinoids potency, as well as safety tests for pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents, bacteria, mold, and fungus May sure your CBD brand conducts third-party testing of their hemp-derived products.
Even though CBD is not legal under federal law, the TSA, a federal agency, allows people to fly with CBD and hemp products as long as it is produced within the regulations defined by the 2018 Farm Bill.
Purchasing CBD is federally legal as long as it doesn’t contain more than 0.3% THC, but some state laws have put restrictions on buyers.
Since Delta-8 THC distillate offers a greater potency than many others, it requires fewer puffs from the user to experience the desired effects. Most contain 1mL of 1-gram D-8 Distillate. It takes anywhere from two to four puffs to experience the desired effects, depending on your tolerance. It contains roughly 210 puffs. It depends on how hard you pull from the cart.
Yes, they are real and federally legal in most states
Typically, Delta-8 THC distillate is a clear substance with no smell. The smell comes from the terpenes added to the cart.
High-quality, properly extracted lab-tested delta 8 cartridges should be perfectly safe to use.
It’s essential to only buy from transparent brands that are an open book for their supply chain and CoAs. Choose cartridges that are extracted from cannabis plants containing <0.3% THC (Industrial Hemp) in line with the 2018 Farm. When it comes to manufacturing quality, the cart should contain zero fillers or unnecessary additives and make sure it’s pure full-spectrum Delta 8 THC and cannabis-derived terpenes.
Like vape cartridges that contain CBD, THC, or another cannabinoid, these cartridges contain distillate oil consisting of delta-8-THC suspended in natural Cannabis sativa flower oils. Since no Cannabis sativa strains yet exist that contain large quantities of delta-8-THC, most D-8 consist of isolated D-8 THC that has been combined with cannabis terpenes, flavonoids, and other natural constituents of the hemp plant. High-quality D-8 cartridges only consist of substances that are naturally present in Cannabis sativa flowers, and cartridges that contain additional substances such as flavorings or fillers are low-quality and could be dangerous.
The ECS is a biological system first discovered in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. The ECS is largely composed of endocannabinoids, receptors, and enzymes that are believed to help regulate a variety of functions in humans including sleep, mood, memory, appetite, reproduction, and pain sensation. The ECS has a critical role in homeostasis which is the maintenance of a stable internal environment. Endocannabinoids are substances our bodies naturally make that stimulate cannabinoid receptors. Phytocannabinoids are plant substances that stimulate cannabinoid receptors. ECS is comprised of CB1 and CB2. CBD binds to the body’s cannabinoid receptors and stimulates the ECS’s production of its cannabinoids. It also interacts with several neurotransmitters in the brain and many of the body’s molecular pathways to deliver an array of health benefits.
Cannabinoids are naturally occurring chemical compounds produced by the cannabis flower. CBD and THC are examples of cannabinoids found in cannabis plants, though there are many more. Different cannabinoids elicit different bodily effects. The human body has an endocannabinoid system that seems to play an important role in the brain, endocrine, and immune function, as well as mediating the secretion of hormones and stress responses. CBD binds to the body’s cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2 and stimulates the endocannabinoid system’s production of its cannabinoids. It also interacts with several neurotransmitters in the brain and many of the body’s molecular processing pathways to allegedly deliver an array of health benefits.
Wash the area you’ll be applying CBD then dry. This will help clear away unwanted dirt, germs, or any kind of particle that could interfere with CBD absorption.
Athletes have reported that CBD has helped them focus before a tough workout or race. According to a study, published in The Journal of Clinical Investigation, participants who administered CBD reported a reduced blood pressure response to stress compared with placebo during exercise. CBD can help with joint issues by keeping inflammation down if taken before exercise. It can also help reduce pain and inflammation following a tough workout.
There are some reports of red eyes as a side-effect after consuming Delta-8. Dry eyes are another potential side effect of delta-8, again being temporary and lasting only as long as the cannabinoid is active in the body. This can leave the eyes looking red, and in rare cases cause discomfort due to the lack of moisture. Moisturizing eye drops can remedy this side effect in most cases.
Delta-8 THC helps with sleepiness by affecting the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS helps the body maintain a state of balance or homeostasis. And sleep is the epitome of homeostasis. Research shows that the ECS plays a direct role in maintaining sleep and may affect dreaming. Anecdotal evidence shows that delta-8 THC helps users fall asleep more easily. Not only that, but users also report staying asleep longer and waking up feeling refreshed. Delta-8 expresses its effects on sleep through its analgesic (pain-relieving) and anti-inflammatory properties.
Meanwhile, hemp seed oil comes from the seeds of the Cannabis native plant. The seeds do not contain CBD, but they still have a rich profile of nutrients, fatty acids, and useful bioactive compounds that can also have health benefits.
Researchers have linked Delta-8 THC to anti-nausea, anti-anxiety, and pain relief benefits, among other effects. It can even stimulate your appetite. It may have neuroprotective effects, protecting the brain.
CBD servings sizes can vary. Products vary in size, potency, and suggested serving sizes. The nutrition facts section on the product label should give you the following information: serving size, total servings per container, and CBD per serving. Find the milligrams of CBD per drop by dividing the total drops by the total CBD in the bottle. This number will tell you how many milligrams of CBD is in a serving size.
First, decide why you want to use CBD. Consider whether or not you want full or broad-spectrum hemp extract. Broad-spectrum does not contain any THC, whereas full spectrum contains a full-plant chemical profile because it contains CBD, terpenes, flavonoids, other cannabinoids, and other plant matter. Full-Spectrum gives you an “Entourage Effect” which means that all compounds in cannabis work together, and when taken in combination, they produce a better effect than when taken alone. If you have a high tolerance to CBD, we suggest choosing an extract with a higher milligram of CBD.
We have a variety of CBD hemp extract products with varying amounts of CBD. Our Kanna tinctures have 2000mg in the bottle. Our Liberty Full Spectrum tincture has 6000 mg pure extract. Viva Green tincture has either 750mg or 300mg. We also have a CBG hemp extract with 1000mg. We also have a CBD isolate that is THC-free with 1000mg of CBD.
First look at the Hemp Oil or tincture and divide the amount of CBD by the size of the package/bottle to find the concentration. Look for the total amount of CBD on the oil’s package listed in milligrams. Then look for the size of the container, which is usually near the bottom and listed in milliliters. Take the lowest dose of CBD oil recommended by the manufacturer. Figuring out the right dose can take a little trial and error. Gradually increase the amount until you find the dose that’s effective for you. Administer the dropper with the oil under your touch for 60-90 seconds before swallowing it. This allows for maximum absorption.
Hemp and its “cousin” cannabis are mostly known for their main chemicals or cannabinoids: CBD and THC (usually available in the highest concentrations). However, scientists now believe there could be 100 special compounds, known as cannabinoids to be found in the species. Recent interest in hemp-derived ingredients has begun to shift to the “minor” cannabinoids CBG, CBC, and CBN which are the next most common cannabinoids.
CBD extract is extracted from the flowering tops of the hemp plant, which contains the highest concentrations of CBD. This oil contains a full-plant chemical profile - described as Full Spectrum because it contains a (CBD, terpene, etc.) profile that mirrors the hemp plant source. Essentially, marijuana contains high levels of THC and low levels of CBD. Hemp contains high levels of CBD and low levels of THC. CBD does not produce psychoactive effects and is known to reduce the effects of THC. Meanwhile, hemp seed oil comes from the seeds of the Cannabis native plant. The seeds do not contain CBD, but they still have a rich profile of nutrients, fatty acids, and useful bioactive compounds that can also have health benefits.
Hemp and marijuana are two different types of cannabis plants. Marijuana contains high levels of THC and low levels of CBD. Hemp contains high levels of CBD and low levels of THC (legally, less than 0.3% concentration.
There are many different delivery methods to get the healing effects of CBD. Tinctures taken sublingually (30-60 seconds) will enter your bloodstream through glands in your mouth, bypassing your gut and liver, where the majority of CBD is obliterated or ushered out like waste. Sublingual products take effect faster than edible products. Vaping and Smoking. You can smoke high-CBD cannabis flower in a joint, use a vaporizer with a cartridge that contains CBD oil, or even inhale CBD concentrates such as sugar waxes with any vape pen that has a chamber for concentrates. Vaping and smoking allow the CBD to go directly into your bloodstream, so you’ll feel effects faster than with other methods. At Kanna, we also have Hemp snuff pouches that are tobacco-free. This is a superior alternative to traditional dip using CBD in a way that is radical, enjoyable, and effective while also being tobacco and nicotine-free. This method increases CBD bio-availability, allowing for quick absorption.
Hemp oil is a nutritious oil extracted from hemp seeds using the same methods being used to make other food-grade oils, such as olive oil. This oil is a superfood but does not contain any cannabinoids (like CBD).
CBD isolate offers a highly concentrated way to consume CBD. In fact, CBD isolate is the most concentrated CBD product that delivers high levels of CBD to your systems. CBD isolate is made by refining all-natural hemp oil into a highly concentrated CBD powder. The term is used to describe pure isolate powder that contains 99% CBD, making it the most potent and concentrated CBD product currently available. Since CBD isolate contains over 99% CBD, each milligram of CBD isolate represents roughly a milligram of active CBD.
Delta-8 THC is not synthetic and naturally occurs in small amounts in cannabis. That being said, manufacturers do not extract D-8 from the plant itself. Bulk CBD is converted into delta 8 via chemical isomerization.
Delta-8 is a minor cannabinoid, occurring in the cannabis plant in very small concentrations. It is also known to be a degraded form of THC, and is not directly produced by cannabinoid-synthesizing enzymes within the plant. Commercial growers and extractors use selective breeding and molecular isolations to access greater quantities of delta-8. Delta-8 is a smoother, less anxious psychoactive experience than Delta-9. If it is derived from Cannabis Sativa it is illegal in most states, but if it comes from hemp it is legal in most states. There are many reports of Delta-8 producing a clearer high with reduced anxiety and greater ability to concentrate. Delta-8 is usually produced in a distillate form and requires a multi-step process, in which the plant goes through levels of refinement. Some benefits of Delta-8 include stimulating appetite and abetting pain and inflammation and assisting anxiety and nausea.
The Farm Bill in 2018 played a big part in why CBD products have become more widely available in the U.S. The Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (or Farm Bill) legalized farming and selling of industrial hemp and its derived products in all 50 states. The Farm Bill means that CBD products are considered legal only if they are derived from industrial hemp grown per the bill’s tight regulations. Part of CBD’s rise in popularity has been due to anecdotal health claims on its positive effect on various ailments.
Crucial to buy third-party-tested CBD for quality assurance. Because the FDA doesn’t regulate CBD, it’s possible to buy a product that is more or less potent than advertised, or even contains small amounts of THC. This will allow you to see exactly what you’re putting into your body, and verify that the product contains what the packaging says it does. Look for products made from organic, U.S.-grown cannabis. Cannabis grown in the U.S. is subject to agricultural regulations and can’t contain more than 0.3% THC. Organic ingredients mean you’re less likely to consume pesticides or chemicals. Be sure to look for products made with full or broad-spectrum oil to get the full scope of health benefits.
CBD (cannabidiol), is a chemical compound found in the cannabis plant. It’s a naturally occurring substance that’s used in products like oils & edibles to impact a feeling of relaxation & calm. Unlike its cousin THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), it's not psychoactive- won’t have you feeling sedated or altered in any way. CBD is a wonderful pain reliever, muscle relaxant, anti-pain, anti-inflammatory, helps w seizures, has anti-tumor properties, helps decrease anxiety and uplift your mood.
