We just came here for Father’s Day hoping that it would be worth it. (the Comal and Guadeloupe rivers have far more kayaking places so it would be easier to go somewhere else) After getting there, the staff was very friendly and helpful with choosing which trip to take. After getting dropped off, we floated down the river. Called them when we finished and they promptly picked us up. Yes, they are basically a kayak rental, river drop off and pick-up place... but what else do you need or even want them to do?! Oh, wait, they do have an on-site restroom to change in.... they could use more changing rooms though. All in all, we were very happy with our choice ... we will most definitely be back and with friends!

This kayaking trip was amazing! The water was clear and you could see the fish swimming. The water wasn't very turbulent so it's easy for beginners to kayak down the river with no problem. The staff was very friendly and helpful It was our 1st time kayaking and they made it a pleasurable experience. I recommend this company to everyone who is looking to have a wonderful experience. Great job Medina River Co.!!

The water was clear and fresh! Really liked how the shuttle drove us there so we could end up back at our truck, the water is beautiful and could see the fish swimming by

We were dropped off up river for a 3.5 hour kayak tour. We stopped to fish for a while and caught a variety of fish. As it got later in the day we started paddling to get back. The river was low and we ended up walking a long way dragging kayaks. The estimated 3.5 hour tour ended up taking 6 hours. Everyone was beat by the end. The first part of the trip was great because we could actually paddle. The second half was torture. It would have been nice to know what to expect before setting out. The river was beautiful, paddling or walking, but I would suggest sturdy shoes for waking on uneven ground. We did help load and unload kayaks which wasn't a big deal, but be prepared to work a little. All in all a good experience with a couple of hiccups.

We were told by a long-time native, if the river is over 5 ft, there are more rapids ... if it's deeper, It can be scary and much faster. We had less than 4 ft; it was very easy but still has to portage in 2 areas of rough water.

The hour and half wasnt to low.. it was nice. But the long ride was closed because it was way too low.

Can you float this in a tube? Or is a Kayak recommended? DO we need to have a life jacket if we float in a tube?

The great service medina river company offers is there are several different routes they will use depending on river flow and depth of water that day. My wife and I discovered these great people March of 2017 and have been back at least a dozen times. This is the most laid back float!
