I worked as an intern for Traditions of Hanover during the Spring 2022 semester and it was the most wonderful experience ever. I was welcomed with open arms by the executive director, Cathy Heimsoth, who guided me through the process of becoming a healthcare administrator. Cathy, and the rest of the staff, allowed me to shadow them without hesitation and taught me skills that I will cherish for the rest of my career. The facility is beautiful and well kept by the housekeeping and environmental department. The residents enjoy a variety of well coordinated activities by the resident life department that often takes feedback to improve the resident's overall experience. I definitely recommend this site for students who are currently seeking internship opportunities. They worked with my schedule and always prioritize my education.

Traditions of Hanover offers it residents a multitude of activities, including arts and entertainment programs, continuing education, fitness, speaker programs, and indoor and outdoor recreation, among many others! We are asking residents to host visitors in their apartments rather than common areas, but that is the only guideline currently in place.
Each apartment comes with two emergency pull cords. In the case of an emergency, residents can pull their cord and be assured that help is on the way. There is a Traditions of Hanover employee who lives on-site and a there is also a member of the Traditions administrative team that has on-call responsibility. In addition, the Traditions of Hanover building is fully sprinklered. Smoke alarms are hung in each apartment, and fire alarms automatically summon Hanover Township Fire Department.
Absolutely! Our one and two bedroom apartments include an electric range/oven and a refrigerator. Although lunch and dinner are available daily, residents may choose to cook your favorite dishes or baked goods in their apartments.
We provide physical and occupational therapy classes, in addition to a full activity calendar. Keeping residents active and engaged is an important part of our vibrant culture. Common areas throughout the building include a library, game room, theater and fitness center.
Yes, animals such as cats and small dogs are allowed.
Traditions is an Independent Living community that provides supportive services like housekeeping, transportation and two meals per day.

You can cook your own meals. Not all rooms have a stove. There are washers and dryers on each floor. You can schedule a tour. Very nice employees, clean and pleasant environment.
