Nj Board of Nursing should be embarrassed. This is the most poorly run organization. If you call customer service do not expect to get any answers. They are just bodies answering calls with no information.. For months I have been waiting for my license to be reinstated with no answers as the what the hold up was. Finally I drove an hour and 15 minutes to Halsey street only to be told they could not find my money order order or application. I explained that I sent it months ago. Finally the lady went in the back and came back and said OK we found it but we need $80. I walked 5 blocks to the Post Office to get a money order even though I previously sent in the $50 that was requested on the application. When I came back she told me they had found my money order. She told me she had changed my address for me and put in the paperwork and I should be hearing from them. I then received a letter that was forwarded to me from a previous address which means she did not change my address. The letter stated that I was missing my birth certificate or passport along with the $50. I called and again no new information from the so called customer service. So once again I had to drive an hour and 15 minutes away To be told they couldn't find my money order again. I was so upset and told the lady she needed to speak to a supervisor and see what is going on because this makes no sense. Finally she comes back and tells me OK we found your money order. So now we're waiting for your background check.. There is no telling how long this is going to take. My husband who is a new applicant has been waiting for months with no new information. He handed in person all the necessary documentation requested. We drove back again and still they requested the same documentation again. They are very unorganized and lazy. While sitting there we heard countless stories of nurses and Home Health Aides coming and going with similar issues.

Very unprofessional. Everytime I call, I get different answers from them. Not giving correct information. Each person gives different answer and you waste your time that way. They do not work according to processing time. I emailed them for the updates but no reply in 3 weeks. Very frustrating to deal with NJ board.

I registered in July to take my test at this point I'm still waiting on my att and It is now October. This process of waiting is damaging to the nursing student as as time passes you tend to forget some information and life goes on you can't always study for months on in. I've called over and over every week. they've gave me every excuse until they ran out.they even blamed me at one point. who ever takes these calls sounds like they're taking them from home and has no idea about what the real hold up could be. they just tell you anything to move the call ahead and get you off he phone. But there is nothing the call center people can really do to move the process any quicker. This is the worse experience ever as I've been waiting far too long. It takes the joy out of becoming a nurse.

GO IN PERSON TO THEIR OFFICE! I have been waiting for my APRN license for months and their online systems did not do a great job at keeping us informed of processing paperwork etc. Additionally, despite calling only every day for the month of September for updates and regularly being provided conflicting information by staff only two people actually were helpful. Thank you to a woman named Tony (I believe), and an older gentleman whose name I forgot, but you both were the only folks who actually knew what was going on and were able to provide me insightful information! I finally, after delaying my start date at work for almost 2 weeks, gave in and drove 2hrs each way to the Newark office. I was in and my license was processed in less than 20 minutes! If you are able go in person, the staff in person helpful. We have to do better as an industry in updating or systems and providing the funding to do so. Also adequately training the staff that are working at these places. These delays in licensing, and poor electronic tracking systems are further contributing to our already problematic health care industry that suffers from staff shortages.

How much
My CHHA is long expired, and how can I be able to renew it again
Pls reply
Seems like forever!
Because the board is severely under staffed
Me to
Fill out an online application. Submit a color passport style photo, birth certificate or passport, name change document if that applies to you. Pay Pearson Vue 200.00.
It means single state license
I am waiting too. I went by the doors are closed I need to know when it will be reopening
You have to call the child abuse services
Look for the requirements in that state. Most likely, You may have to take a class that's a few hours to be certified there.
Ask the place you work at lol. This is for documentation and testing
Or you can call the NJ Board of Nursing for faster, and someone will help you right away to change your address .
Go to njconsumeraffairs and at the bottom click license verification
You will get a fingerprint letter in the mail. Make an appointment at one of 17 Morpho Trust locations in the state.
Yep! I did it and got it within 30 days. Ps you just have to be Jersey resident
They have walk on hours from 10am-2pm only
Do not send any of your personal information via text or email.
Go online to the board of nursing I believe an there should be a process you go tho. If u work for an agency they should be able to do it for you. However making a trip to any board of nursing building if they are open (which I doubt) can do it for u. Being that most have posted a link to online u have to do it online.
My name is Idalmis I got my Nursing license in Puerto Rico I can make an endorsement with you
Every state has thier own requirements. Best if you look it up just to be on the safe side. Most jobs will offer to help you transfer over most license if needed with there own conditions. (Such as work for them 6 months to a year.) Good luck hun.
No. Only online services
Not sure, but you can call them and find out
Yes
Madam tight now it better to keep working in New York cause Jersey Board of nursing doors isn't open to the public yet
What do you want to renew
How could I apply for a retest pn applicacation? I tried sending email several times they did not go through.
I am also paid not gotten any notice for a fingerprint.
Depends on the contract with the facility
30 dollars, you can also do it online if you want too.
Renewals are online only...
See the board of nursing
Renewal information will be mailed out at the end of this month. As long as your address is up to date you should receive it.
I was their enquiry some other information but if you are that under staffed you need to call board of nursing& code enforcement &health department
Online be diligent and call every week and check on the status
Never its been since march for me call every week board as view my application, i have all my documents in and still waiting
When u move out of state u ave to change ure licenses
You would have to go thru the agency that hired them and make a police report.
I'm not sure of that, contact the board nursing or you go in person to the office and speak with someone! Good luck
First endorse your RN license and then send in an APN application.
Yes u cant leave the child
You will have to take a class on your own a lot of hospitals offer it.
Wont do no good they will just make it your fault and try to take away you certificate
Not true report them bring proof
U have to do everything online
It should be a place on the NJ board of nursing website for her to do it, check where it says update information.
Usually it has to be a felony, I don't think misdemeanors will stop it license. I've seen domestic violence and drug offences get nurses license suspended pending a board hearing
you can go online to license verification and just print from your computer or go to the library or from your job.
Fill out a Duplicate License Request form and have it notarized. If you are an HHA the fee is 10.00. Nurses pay 35.00 and it must be a money order.
If I never Renew my license since 2012 what I suppose do know
No. 5 pm meds can be given as early as 4 pm and as late as 6 pm. You have an hour before or after prescribed time
Endorsement must be done online. On the left click on Register a Person. Then fill in your personal information and create a user id and password.
Yes. You would endorse your PA license to NJ. Yes you can have both. Some nurses have licenses in all 50 states.
you hav to get an application for endorsement. you maybe able to do it online. my original license was out of state it took a month before I got mine endorsed. go to their website. newjerseyboardofnursing. Worse thing you can call but I did most of mine online but I took my pic and did my finger prints there, supposedly it speeds up the process.
you would hav to go on the website . newjereseyboard of Nursing. if you can't find it online call and speak with someone there
Call the Department of Health and Senior Services
Call the police. Then write a complaint in to the NJ Board of Nursing.
Click on License Verification and then follow the prompts.
Yes. There have to 45 days between testing dates. Just pay Pearson Vue and send in the receipt with your re-exam application
Contact the board of nursing
How did this info come up
You can log into your renewal and choose license status inactive.
Yes you can order tests and blood work yourself as a Nurse Practitioner.
Hi there I am in the same position at the moment, just wondering if you’ve yet to receive your license number being that it’s been a month since you posted this question. And if so how long did it take from the time of fingerprinting
Have no idea how long this will take check them towards month end
After the classroom exams r done and u r successful the school sends ur results to the nursing board, within 2 -3 months u get ur license
If u have a sponsor in new Jersey u could use that route. You should check the nursing board to make sure good luck
No, you must have a Promise of Employment letter from an agency, submitted on the company's letterhead.
Call the state. You would have to prove the facilty new the workers didnt hsve license and performing nursing duties. Everyone who wears scrubs isnt a nurse
Just write them a letter with your name social security number and your license# with your old address and your new address
