Very disappointed...we're new to the area and my 5yo daughter developed a cold that was turning into a bronchitis. I called in advance my health insurance and they sent me a list of facilities that are "in network" providers. Medicus is on that list. Although the lady at the front desk was very nice and apologetic, she said that they couldn't take our out of state insurance, I told her that we could pay cash out of pocket...again...no. I showed the list I received from NYSHIP and she said that maybe it wasn't current, when NYSHIP said it was the most recent and updated list. We had to go to another institution that got her in immediately, no questions asked. Too bad that a place so close to our new home gave us a bad 1st impression. At least she could've call the insurance to double check. Not questioning their service nor their expertise, but we felt like we were treated like a business transaction and not like people looking for medical treatment for one of our own.

Would leave Zero stars if I could. I was here on June 30 for an finger infection, and, without needing to get to detailed, was told they could take care of it. When they “repaired” it, I was told there was “no need for an antibiotic” and the PA, Ellen, told me “she never had anyone ever have to come back to get it redrained”. Well, Ellen, that’s probably because they end up in the ER to get it fixed properly! It continued to throb, the infection got worse, and I actually developed a fever, leading me to the ER that night! Not only should they have given me an antibiotic, which the person at the ER confirmed, but, they shouldn’t have botched the entire lancing job they performed, also confirmed. Fast foward, I call the office to tell them what happened the next day and request to NOT have to pay a bill since they didn’t treat me correctly, I was told by “Natalie” to call when I got a bill in the mail. So, Fast Foward about two months, I get a bill in the mail. So, I call, and after having to leave multiple messages, am told there is nothing they could do! Are you kidding me? I am now left to file a grievance with my insurance, not only because they are not properly trained yo help patients, but because they won’t own up to their mistake! I don’t recomend anyone go to this facility, and I really don’t understand HOW they are still in business. Shame on you Natalie and Shame on you Ellen!

Yes they do. I know they were only testing people who were showing symptoms originally, but that may have changed.
