Came by the precinct around 4pm to have a VIN check/T-22B form filled out. I was told any time between 9am-5pm would be fine to have a detective complete this process, which from previous experience, takes no more than 5 minutes. The detective on site declined to help me and directed me to the main HQ, citing “COVID protocols”. Main HQ also would not help. I left work early and sat in hours of traffic to have this done. Dekalb PD is utterly worthless and their officers are lazy and unhelpful.

Detective Hamer was extremely rude. First off, he had 3-5 business days to contact me concerning my break-in, he failed to do so. I reached out via email in efforts to correspond with him, he did not reply. I called the precinct, and upon finally making contact with him, he was barely interested in what I was saying, but more interested in trying to correct my terminology. He did however call me back and he was better the second time around. I wish he was consistent throughout with his courtesy, but at least it did improve.

Extremely grateful and thankful for Officer Wilkes actions towards my case on April 11th. She receives 5 stars. Everyone received their money back on today from Cash App. The inconvenience to file my police report and having to drive around Atlanta, receives 2 stars.

Sometimes the laws dictates that a person doesn't have to file charges if this crime is serious enough. For instance, when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock, the police could have arrested him because it was battery. No complaint is needed. It just depends if the police decide if they want to or not prosecute a crime and if that act is a crime where you live. I hope all that makes sense. That's the way I understand it to be. If I'm wrong, please don't judge me. I'm just trying to pass along what I've learned. Have a nice day.
Evicting him is one why but is he working. Which means he can afford to pay bills in the house.
Probably asking the county to put speed bumps in might help
ok yer both dumb.
911 if it is an emergency, or the DeKalb County non-emergency line if not. Same numbers you would call if you saw any other car speeding and wanted to report it.
if only Google maps said what hours they were open to the public. it's a shame they dont
