What a lovely preserve! I went on the path that goes straight when you're walking out of the parking lot by the signage. Dogs allowed. Ample parking. Well maintained. Definitely will be coming back to check out some of the other paths!

The stench and sludge on the beach was horrific! I sure hope it was an off day. The water was thick and black and foamy. So disgusting!

A few different paths to pick from. Made the mistake at first to park just south of the main Visitor Center. But that was nice as well. The main visitor Center's paths are verry nice. We enjoyed the lake path very well, parts were a little muddy.

I didn't know this place existed! Very beautiful. It looks really healthy and I saw a ton of different wildflowers, birds, and a gopher tortoise as well. The trail isn't too long and it ends at the water with a bench surrounded with seagrape and mangrove trees to watch the sunset. The start of the trail has a small parking lot, trashcan, map, and some information about the trail. I will definitely come back!
