If you’re dealing with any type of mental health situation, please don’t go here I beg you. You will only leave with more problems, stress, and anxiety. This place doesn’t care for patients and they are just thieves. I was told my insurance was accepted here and went through every step to make sure of that with the incompetent staff here. After my first and last visit, I was sent a bill in mail saying I owed money. The visit with the doctor wasn’t great either and based on that alone, I didn’t plan on coming back. However, I was very confused because my insurance was accepted and we confirmed that. Apparently, the hospital staff kept sending in the wrong info to my insurance company so that’s why payment was held up. I asked hospital to send correct info and they still couldn’t figure out how to do it. It got to the point where my insurance company actually called the billing depart and explained step by step how they needed to submit my claim. I know this because I was on the call and listened the whole time. They then refused to work with my insurance after they tried to tell the hospital staff how to submit my paperwork for insurance payment. So because NorthSide refused to work with my insurance, they decided to immediately send my bill to a collections company that happens to be at the same address as the hospital. Now I’m being harassed every week by said collections company. This hospital is a bunch of thieves and full of incompetent staff. My insurance literally tried to pay the bill and explained to the hospital how to do it’s job so I guess they got mad and spited both of us. It’s absolutely ridiculous that this hospital is refusing to work with insurance companies because they don’t feel like it and after they told me mine was accpeted. I’m seriously contemplating suing this hospital for it’s financial practices. Shame on all of you.

Do not go here for any reason. The intake staff is uneducated, incompetent and rude. I was denied care because I use CBD with THC. The intake worker refused to believe me that legal CBD is hemp based and not made with Marijuana. I was also denied care because I take the occasional prescribed Xanax. I was instead told I need to take their drug addiction class. So instead of helping me with my actual problems, they decided the best course of action was to take me off of the medications that actually work. CBD allows me to work a job and leave the house, something I wasn't doing for awhile. But yes, let's tell them to stop taking products that work. Additionally, the intake was rude during the initial assessment. She should be ashamed to hold a counseling license. She commented on the noise my dog was making outside. As well as saying I'm not allowed to eat during appointments, in my own home (hello gaslighting). I frequently forget to eat and had remembered that day. As a mental health counselor, or a decent human being, that's something you should know is hard for some people. The intake worker and team should be ashamed they are denying people coverage. As well as causing worsened mental health issues due to their rude and unprofessional attitude. I am a medical health provider myself and am ashamed other medical providers treat their patients this way. It's an embarrassment to the medical community. I hope this clinic feels satisfied with denying people the help they need.

They assume I wasn't going to my other appointments other than the therapist and then discharge me.

Horrible experience with Dr.Candice Claiborne! Wouldn't provide timely documentation and did not advocate for me as a patient. Instead of helping and working through solutions she argued and acted very unprofessional. Terrible experience.

Absolutely not.

Would this hospital have a patient but deny that the person is there?

I don’t believe they are able unless made by law to divulge whether someone is a patient.
