The office workers are rude. I have been calling with the same issue for 2 weeks. I am told the lady I need to talk with Mrs. Winzer will call me back. She never does. They make a different excuse every time I call as to why they haven't did their job. I just need one paper mailed! The other office I'm working with says Evansville office is rude and doesn't do their job. They need to hire some people who take pride in doing their job!

Birth certificate, photo ID, marriage license (if changing name)
I myself are turning 65 in September, and have found out this Info I know. Your Medicare Card should have PlanA/B (A is Free/B comes out of your SS Check) on it and look the right it will say "Start Date". If your on SS, then it automatically comes out of your Check for the Month on December. Remember if your working Spouse has Group(over 20 Employees)your covered you do not sign up. Fill Medicare Form# 1763 out and drop it off at your SS Office to which THEY will not charge you monthly. It's called Defer or Terminate the payments starting, so they don't. You'll be then in the S.E.P. (SpecialEnrollmentPeriod). You MUST REenter from JAN1 - MAR31 each year or 3 months prior to his/her Retirement Date. No lifetime penalties.
Yes
How to change direct deposit account routing.
Old social, marriage license ,and birth certificate
I just had to do this. You have to fill out an application and turn it along with either something from the school if she's old enough stating name age and birthdate and signed by office staff and dated in ink pen only no stamp, or a birth certificate. The social security office has a drop box you can put them in
In short the answer is no. The website says: "If you legally change your name because of marriage, divorce, court order or any other reason, you must tell Social Security so you can get a corrected card. You cannot apply for a card online. There is no charge for a Social Security card. This service is free. The same applies once you receive the I-766 card, Employment Authorization Document (EAD), from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and bring required evidence." Full instructions for change or correction of name can be found at: https://faq.ssa.gov/en-us/Topic/article/KA-01981
Yes if you have social security card
Yes
You will want to contact your case manager, however anyone at the office should be able to help you. Social security does not send paper checks so the problem is either with your account or in the system. Hope this helps

Yes
The SS office in Evansville is open 9-4 Monday thru Friday... Closed on Saturday and Sunday. I'm sure you can mail it in, but will take longer.
Yes it is. A police officer makes sure you have a mask on and you would need to sign in and sit. Then a number will be called depending on how many people there are there.
I'm not an employee but I might be able to ask as I'm up next in line.
You are 2 weeks late. It's already done. You people really need to be more accessible to older people that aren't computer/ tech savvy. I've called 3 times today for Medicare issue we need to straighten out asap. Still no response.
No it should be working
When I had my last name changed after I got married all I had to send in was the application and my marriage license. Not sure if this helps

You go to the Social Security Office that's where you have to take care of it
Birth certificate maybe, if ya know your number that's good, and a driver's license or id card. The y will make sure you are who you say you are.
Yes. They are only closed on weekends and major holidays. They are only open till noon on wednesdays
You can apply online and find out all needed info through their website.
Mailing the form can take longer because it can get lost. Not to say it won't take just as long if you did it in person but hopefully it's faxed and scanned directly.
You can call and have it changed. If you are the payee you must go in to the office in person.
Yes, and online!
You can go online and achieve this without the hassle of the office. https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount
It can be a little complicated and overwhelming at first. The application is located on the social security website ssa.gov from there you should be able too select a drop down menu from 'online services' and select apply for benefits. It can be a lenghty process youll need the name, address, and phone number for all doctors you've seen recently for your disability and the same for the diagnosing doctor. Make sure you've got your social security number and a good couple of hours too devote to the application. Best of luck!
You should be able to by going in and requesting a copy of it.
I dont believe that they do however there are local programs designed to help those released from prison with a variety of things like employment and housing. My brothers keeper caters to men specifically but is an excellent program. Also call 211 for United Way they will be able to lead you directly to the assistance you need.
Why would you want to it's never secure enough ! Remember that!
Your I'd and social. Also will need documentation from your child's doc or school verifying your child's address dob and if ots from the school it has to be on a school letterhead and have a actual signature in ink pen from the secretary.
They will re-issue one for her and if u haven't got a replacement this year it's free. If u have filed for a replacement it's $2
If he was born in Evansville go to the health department and it cost like 15 or 20 dollars for your certificate and the ssc is free with school records or shot records. They do not just accept the birth certificate these days
If they have all Medicare or even with a back up insurance the majority should be covered
You can apply for a social security number online or call the office and have them send a form or go into the office . I do not lie and not everyone is a bad person, I do this to help others and if I know I will help if not then I say I cant.
Yes u can do that with no problem there
Yes
If I am correct like with mine when I turn the retirement age my money will get bumped up, right now it's a disability check and not your social security which is based on how much you have put in with the amount of years you have worked. Hope this helps
I don't know you will have to call the social security office and ask them.
Yes u can just add her to your benefits,to be on the safe side i would let them know so u could avoid the red tape
No, social security doesn't pay for training, those days are long gone, sorry,sn u have a nice day
Your payee is supposed to see that you have housing, food, utilities. Not forward the check to you. I live in IN. My ssi beneficiary lives in KY.
Family
You need to apply to be your own payee at your local SSA office. If you were found that you needed a payee when you started your benefits you might need to bring a Doctor's letter stating that you are capable of handling your own affairs.
I knw u can only work 20hrs a week
All checks are return to the treasury department. If you moved and did not notify the social security administration in time the check was return to treasury by the post office.
