I never leave reviews and I dread having to ever go to the DMV… but with the new ID requirement I had to go. I was in and out in 10 minutes and that’s with changing my current address. I couldn’t believe it. THANK YOU!

JoEllyn, Usually there is no difference in the registration cost for a salvaged vehicle and a regular vehicle. There are some other factors. Are you moving here and the title that has been branded salvage by TX? Or, have you purchased the vehicle? The regular plate registration fee is $80.00. It would be best for you to call and discuss you situation. 615-452-4063.
Everyone is required to renew their vehicle license plate in their county of residence. This can be done in person, by mail, or online. Our website is www.sumnertags.com
Alan, The total fee for a regular personalized plate is $116.00 each year. The State fee of $61.50 and County Wheel Tax and fee of $54.50. The additional fee is paid each year. The total price for a regular plate is $80.00. Here is a link to the site where a personalized plate is ordered. https://personalizedplates.revenue.tn.gov/#/
No
Coming forming another TN county, there should be no other requirements other than emission test. Call if you have questions 615-452-4063.
If your vehicle is registered in Sumner County YES
There is not an online renewal for the placard. You can renew by mail or in person at our Gallatin or Hendersonville office. To mail send your renewal notice or previous registration and $3 to Sumner County Clerk; 355 North Belvedere Dr Room 111; Gallatin Tennessee 37066.
Mary Lou, I am saddened to hear about your son's death. I'm sure it has been a difficult time for your family. There are two ways to transfer a vehicle when the owner has passed away. One if there is a probate of the estate, the executor appointed by the court can sell the vehicle with a letter of testamentary. If no probate is required, the state of Tennessee allows the heirs to submit a form called an affidavit of inheritance with a copy of the death certificate to sell the vehicle. The form is available on our website: www.sumnertags.com. if you have questions, you can call our office and we will be glad to step you through the process. 615-452-4063. Bill Kemp
Yes, there is a County Clerk vehicle registration office in the County Administration Building; 355 N Belvedere Dr Rm 111; Gallatin Here are our locations: https://sumnertags.com/information/locations You can find the answer to many questions on our website. www.SumnerTags.com
No, only vehicle registration and tag renewal. You can renew your driver's license at the DMV or skip going inside by doing it online. They mail you your updated one but it can take a week or so to get.
Vehicle plates that expire in March, April, or May 2020 do have until June 15th to renew without an emission test. That was authorized by Governor Lee's Executive Order 36. Emission testing stations are now open and plates that expire after June 1, 2020 are required to pass the emission test before renewing. Title applications that purchase a new plate will also need an emission test.
You do not.
The wait time varies depending on the day and the number of customers. Typically lunch time and late in the day are the busiest.
You are pretty close. I work at a dealer in Nashville. I came up with $3165.73 plus the plate.
No the Opus inspection is located on Dickerson Pike, there is also one by the Maine County Clerk's Office but that one's much farther so I would definitely go to the one on Dickerson
Looks like you'll have to ask on Tuesday, especially since they're closed on Sundays lol. It shows on their website that they're open Monday...
You can go to the dept of Homeland security in Gallatin off of 31.
It's not valid the day it expires. There is no grace period
No. You need to go to the DMV in Gallatin
Need to go to the DMV in gallatin.
As far as I know they are open. Referring to the hrs online, it says they are open on the days in question. You are asking on the county clerk page though, just make sure you do go to the clerk to test. You have to go to the DMV in gallatin
First go get an emissions test done. Once you pass emissions, they give you a piece of paper with a smiley face on it. You take that piece of paper here to renew your tags.
You need to fill out a TN gift transfer affidavit. If you google the form, you will see a fillable pdf form from tn.gov website. Usually thr gift transfer fee is very small.
