Dysfunctional, judgmental, borderline traumatic. The founder understands and cares about one thing and one thing only: money. An arrogant, spoiled, self entitled conman. One of the therapists; Whitney, is perhaps the most manipulative and mean spirited person I’ve ever come across. There are good hearted staff members, although throughout the time I was there I watched multiple people quit or be let go, one therapist started and left during my stay. Community is important in recovery. At Raleigh House you’re either in or you’re out. If you’re not part of the inner circle you start to become desperate, abandoning virtues and morals, turning on other residents (as is strongly encouraged to do so in a very public manner if someone should make a mistake) just to be part of something you only later realize is sick and delusional. If a resident(s) broke a rule the entire staff and residents would gather to essentially gang up on that person. One time we gathered because a guy and girl were exchanging notes and were caught hugging. This was against the rules, which is fair. However, the therapists read the notes in front of the entire community, addressed an issue the woman had not yet been comfortable sharing, then proceeded to lay into the male resident. They both apologized and took responsibility. “That’s not good enough” is what one therapist said. We all sat there and watched as a very personal matter that was nobody’s business but the people involved and staff, berate them while never offering an actual way to move forward. We were told if we stayed silent we didn’t care about their recovery and were then one by one put on the spot to express that somehow a natural attraction between two people was my business and something to be outraged over. It was common knowledge that Whitney and Eric were sleeping together, some might argue that’s inappropriate, but I could care less. So please don’t waste your money (and it’s A LOT of money), if I mentioned every messed up thing that happened, this review would be a book.

I can't comment about the Raleigh House itself. I had been calling around for places to begin treatment. Alot of rehab facilities don't take my insurance. I just wanted to get better and felt very discouraged. I already felt down, hopeless and unwanted... even though I wasn't able to get into the Raleigh House Dan, at least offered me resources. I felt like someone really cared... it gave me a glimmer of hope. He was very kind and understanding. It made me want to go to the Raleigh House... it felt like this stranger actually cared about me. It meant the world to me. I hope that he gets recognized for his kindness. He gave a stranger hope to keep going... thank you Dan 🙏🏼 God Bless you

SHADY billing team. My sons counselor told me not to pay his bills as they didn’t want me to enable his addiction. Then the billing team harassed me so badly, even told me they would help me get a loan. I finally paid 3,000 for 30 days in a rehab home. He decided to leave on day 22 because the counselor was treating him horribly in 1 x 1 and group sessions. They insured us we would receive a refund of 800 for 8 days. Call after call for 3 months they said keep calling back, then they knew my number from caller ID and stopped answering. I finally filed a wrongful charge through VISA and immediately got my money back.

I am writing about the billing and administration not the mental health services. We were charged the maximum out of pocket for our insurance plan. We decided not to use the 30 day inpatient service (48 hrs. was time spent at facility). I have requested an accounting of costs incurred and refund of the difference. Cannot get a call back from them. Do not pay upfront.
