So I am severely conflicted in writing this review. The staff was incredible (huge shout out to the techs!!), the facility was great, they accepted my insurance… and yet they billed me SIXTEEN TIMES at SEVEN HUNDRED FIVE DOLLARS A PIECE for an unknown service?? The only thing that I can find is that the doctor’s name is Andrew C. Berg. No one will answer the phone or get back to me, and all I know is that in my 30 day stay I saw one male doctor via Telehealth four times… so who the hell is Andrew C. Berg and why was I not informed that 1. I was receiving his services, and 2. That these services were considered “out of network” when I was assured I was completely covered by insurance?? Up until now I would have sung Northstar’s praises, but a surprise bill of ELEVEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED EIGHTY DOLLARS ON TOP of what I originally paid is absolutely ridiculous. You’re better off going to The Recovery Village in Palmer Lake. The last thing a person in recovery needs is to be bankrupted by those who are supposed to be there to help them.

I was at NorthStar last December. All women house. Great sense of community. Always treated with respect, effective counseling. As a dual diagnosis person it was a good place to be. Lots of help establishing routines. YMCA twice a week to workout.I wish I could just live there full time. GREAT FOOD! Highly recommend

My experience with NorthStar Transitions Denver drug rehab was great. I found them to be very professional and discreet and they really helped my family member make the transition to sober living. They were able to be flexible in designing a program for my family member which I think contributed to the ultimate success that our family found in working with them. I strongly recommend them to anyone in the Denver area.

Questions & Answers

how much and do you take medicaid

They do not accept Medicaid. Usually if companies list names of insurance companies, and medicaid is *not* one of them, then they are typically not accepted. Of course it is not a guarantee, just what I've noticed; a simple phone call is all it takes. The lady I spoke to (at NorthStar) was quite nice, and even emailed me a list of alternative companies that do accept Medicaid.

My son is in the Denver area and now wants to go into treatment. What does it cost ?
