Donuts for breakfast, no toilet seats, people are there for years what is wrong with people. Despite what we are led to believe, you just like everyone else you have everything you need to be successful, happy and fulfilled. Live your life

Please let me know what the answer is.

My wife got addicted to prednisone and is now in a treatment facility in California. She shows signs of psychosis and I want to bring her home to Denver. Do you take medicare Part A and address people similar to her.

Fort Logan might not be the appropriate place for her, but there are plenty of resources in Denver for dual diagnosis care.

Check them into the unit of severity Team 5 all the way to Team 1.

You will not be able to directly admit to fort Logan. You have to go through an emergency department first. They do not take walk ins at fort Logan.

what do I do when someone you love has threatened the family

You can call the police and have them brought to an emergency department (psych eds specifically are at Aurora and Denver health). They can be held on an m1 hold for danger to others and can receive services through an ed (emergency department)

How long is the typical stay?

The length of a stay at Ft. Logan varies for each patient. Also, the last time I was there, ( January, 2007 to October 9, 2008 ) , I was there for almost 2 full years because I contracted a serious staph infection called MRSA. MRSA can damage and weaken the affected person's immune system. That is how I contracted pneumonia a little over 5 years ago. And you don't want to ever go to Ft. Logan because the staff there will not treat you as a human being and they will mess you up on your meds.
