I unfortunately had a bad experience at this facility. I only had my daughter here for a few days before I pulled her. I saw another review that said they heard loud yelling in one of the toddler classrooms- I heard that as well when I was there. Like loud, angry, yelling. Obviously toddlers need structure and discipline, but they also need to have an example set on how to control emotions. Anyway..my daughter was tiny when she started here, like 12 weeks. I was not impressed with the infant classroom, it seemed way overcrowded and chaotic. I picked my daughter up one day and the two workers were both sitting there on their cell phones ignoring all the babies, with the radio blasting. How are babies supposed to sleep with that on?? Even in just a few days they lost a few of her items. She was just dead in the eyes when I picked her up, not lively like usual. And yes, it was a new atmosphere and new people, but it was totally different immediately when she started at another place. She was back to her old self. When I told the director I was pulling her (told her I would pay any fees owed, plus according to her they had a long wait list for infants so I didn’t think it would be an issue to fill my spot right away), she was very nasty to me from that point on. Just overall a bad experience.

I just had a partial visit at this school, in consideration of sending my child here. Upon entering and being asked to wait near the front desk, I heard a teacher in the toddler classroom scream loudly "No Biting!!!" While biting in a day care setting is a problem, so is screaming at a toddler loudly enough to be heard that far away (I understand that parents often become frustrated and yell at their children, but this type of yelling is totally inappropriate for a daycare provider working with toddlers). To my surprise, the assistant director, who had let me in the building did not rush into the classroom to assess the situation. She instead pulled down her mask to take a phone call at the front desk (at the time of this visit there was a mask requirement for all daycares). As I continued to wait, I saw a parent leave the building, who was not wearing a mask, suggesting that she was never asked to put one on when she dropped off her child. I then heard a teacher from another classroom scream "No!!! You only get to wash your hands once!!!" Again this was clearly audible throughout the hallway and administrative area. While I do not know the full context of the situation to understand why a correction may have been in order, a staff person yelling at a child in this way is not productive or acceptable. I also point out that part of the context is that a young child was being yelled at, in the middle of a global pandemic, for washing their hands too much. At this point I began making my departure and noticed that the Assistant Director had not replaced her mask after her phone call. If I were a parent of a current student at this school, I would be appalled to learn all of this. If you are a prospective customer, I would encourage you to keep looking. Wherever you may fall on the "mask debate," consider that daycare providers are expected to follow the legal guidelines to protect their students (and fellow staff members). If a daycare is willing to so flagrantly disregard such guidelines when they know that there are scheduled visitors, what other guidelines and rules do they bend or break when caring for your child?
