TL;DR decent place if you're stuck in public housing, but has numerous, unaddressed issues. THE GOOD: apartment sizes and amenities are decent, especially for public housing. Lots of wall outlets. Included storage closet and washer dryer hookups. Materials are meh, and maintenence is hit and miss, though 'usually'decent. Managers are nice but starting to look overstressed. HAS bragging points of small pool and children's play equipment (see next section for more). Also has a tiny, clean gym, accessed with microchip fob. Dog poo areas have bag-n-trash posts. Ample parking for on-lease residents (more on this below). Maintenence DOES occasionally pick up trash on grounds and parking lot. THE BAD: Broken mailboxes and probably mail theft. No cameras (?) means no accountability. Occasional rude residents make quiet residents want to leave. Apartments skimp on overhead lights in apartments - just a panel covering a bit of ceiling and a useless switch. Large maintenence projects are months behind even starting (bad choice in contractors? ). "Pool" is tiny, 4ft deep, and was open roughly 2 weeks total this past summer, due to draining and cleanliness issues (?). THE UGLY: Trash overflows into parking lot by pickup day, and cement beneath bins is stained and gross. Trash bags stacked in trash pens spill into road. Pool gets very gross and they have to drain it. They gave up on pool early this summer, letting it sit empty and gather rain water while it was nice n hot outside. Visitor parking is now marked... not even whole sections but 10 spaces only in 2 areas ONLY. With limits of 2 nights on visitor parking, hundreds of units with possible visitors, don't expect a guest to stay un-towed on a holiday weekend (Thanksgiving / Memorial Day). There's a reason visitors park on the 100ft or so of public parking or even park on the dirt of empty lots on either side. Symptoms of a problem. So if your visitor spends 45 minutes circling around looking for parking (visitor or public) oh well. Nearest safe parking is probably the park n ride 1/2 mile to the north. Don't really know why they went so stingy when there's no alternative nearby. CONCLUSION: okay if you have to be here, and some are stuck for whatever reason in public housing. If you're stuck, it's better living than some.... Disappointing because of some very fixable issues.
