Very secluded feeling, always enjoyed this wooded trail, but beware poison ivy/sumac/oak sufferers...my husband is allergic to all 3 and we have to be careful walking our dogs on all trails as this one seems abundant.

Great trail, easy to use, I don't know why it is closed, we walked it anyway

I hiked only a few weeks ago and have always enjoyed my visits AND Off! Dry mosquito repellent. My daughter and I visited this morning but maybe in an alternate universe. There was a familiarity, but it wasn't the same park at all. It is a rainforest that has far more qualities of the Everglades. The trail was trashed. It looked like there was a road there at one time that the potholes claimed dominance. I twisted my ankle in one such hole and am going to the doctor because I'm having all the symptoms of a stress fracture in the same place I had one two years ago. Then we walked past the field that grows something and somehow ended up in the desert/ beachfront. I was scared of the quicksand that's been added and can no longer access the steps that leads to the crosswalk over County Home Road. Pretty sure we saw Bigfoot, but he only answers to Daryl. The one positive was the presence of Monarch butterflies. We unawarily walked through a pack of 10 of these beautiful creatures. I can't return if it isn't repaired. I'm sure I'm gonna need a foot x-ray in the morning. Ugh!

We wanted to walk a level path so we decided to go to the Lyle Creek Greenway. The path is gravel and some sand in different places. The path is very level and remains at a level elevation. The day that we went there were tons of mosquitoes!! My whole family was lunch for the mosquitoes, even my husband who never gets bitten by mosquitoes! We were swatting at them the whole time. So much so that we cut the walk short and went home! If you walk this trail I would recommend wearing mosquito repellent!
