This park offers no utilities (ie water, sewer, electricity). You would think because of that it would be quiet. It's not. They allow generators👎 The staff drive gas golf carts seemingly doing nothing but driving around. They certainly are not cleaning the campsites. Ours was covered in bottle caps, plastic straws, drinking boxes, etc. They offered no site map when we entered. The water fillup tap is unmarked and we had to ask a number if people just to find it. The location of this tap is in a stupid location which makes you partially block an intersection. One positive is it's close to downtown Alex Bay.

Great place to camp and a huge swimming pool to take the kids swimming. Plus there's a great boat launch. Plus we going swimming rite in the river. Plus it's a 5 minute drive from Abay. Tons of stuff to do in Abay.

Small but quaint SP. Nice trails to hike river side and inland. A must visit.

This state park offers wonderful trails and is home to numerous fisher cats. It has plenty of wildlife like loons ospreys and bald eagles. The trails run right along the river and offer a private dock for fishing and swimming a hidden bench for relaxing during a sunset and a peaceful gazebo that sits on a stone wall from 75 years ago. This park has great camping facilities and a huge swimming pool and playground the boat launch is big and easily accessible as well!

Keewaydin itself does not offer military discounts. However certain benefits are offered to military personnel and families by the NYS Park Admin. For instance, a member of the New York State National Guard or military reserves who is currently serving on active duty in support of the war on terrorism is eligible for one free Empire Pass for use by his or her immediate family during deployment and/or for his or her own use when returning home. Depending on your situation/status, other benefits may also be available.

The pool will be open daily from 11:00 - 6:45. It will close for the season on Labor Day.
Yes off the rocks its about 30 ft with current.
Here's the official policy: "Most New York state park welcome pets on leashes up to six feet long, and two pets per site are allowed in designated loops of New York state park campgrounds. Pets must have proof of vaccination, may not be left unattended, and are not allowed in buildings, picnic or swimming areas, or where posted."
You have to stop at the toll booth before you can enter and I don't believe there is free parking
19-29$ish I got my favorite site for four days for $70.
