I believe it's the first entrance on the left on Hyland-Croy coming from post road. The viewing tower and picnic area build are right next to it.
Glacier Ridge was named for the end moraine or glacial debris left behind when the glaciers retreated some 12,000 to 17,000 years ago. - metro park website. My recommendation is to ask a ranger at the park.
Some are wooded, a lot are in open fields.
The sign says no but my experience at similar places is if you are not causing trouble or drawing attention and not openly drinking (use can coozy or pour into a cup) you won't have trouble.

My dad works there and I am in a wheelchair and I can get around pretty well. About half if not more are paved I'm sure you already got the answer.
I was there a couple of weeks ago and didn't see any. There is a new obstacle course but I think it's nearly done and it doesn't impact trail use.
