No more than two employees seem to have any knowledge about vehicles as far as being able to help me what so ever, as well as simply not being able to look up correct parts for my vehicle. In other words, they've been for the most part no more help to me compared to me figuring everything out with a computer.

Depends on the car some cars need a dealership to install
Sometimes, depends on if the code is something that will register on the diagnostic tool. Some transmission issues do, some don't. Source: my husband works there
You have to wear a mask inside
I don't think so believe they sell them but not install
They can hook it up to a diagnostic tool to read the codes and that should tell you why your engine light is on....
Best thing is to call them with year, make, and model of vehicle
