Had a reservation. Kept getting told "5 minutes" for 30 minutes after reservation time. No apology offered in the meantime, or even explanation. Left since table still wasn't ready

This restaurant had a good menu and was selected because the location was minutes away from the show that we were seeing. Made a reservation for 6:00pm, arrived at 5:55pm, but was not seated until after 6:30pm. The place is intimate (small), with little to no room for waiting. The host had a lot of energy and seemed to love his job. The waiters seemed overwhelmed (perhaps they were either understaffed, had the pressure of getting people served quickly so that they could get to the theatre or both). As soon as we were seated, I asked if we would have enough time to eat and get to the theatre on time. He asked what time we wanted to leave by, I told him 7:30pm, and he said "ok." We immediately ordered, and I was about to cancel our order when the food hadn't come out at 7:10pm. But somehow, he was able to get us out by 7:30pm. Complimentary bread was brought to the table. I had capellini (angel hair) all' ortolana and added capers. It was a nice dish. Someone else in my party had the lamb chops and enjoyed them. If you are planning to see a show (especially on the weekend), don't roll the dice, make a reservation around 5:00pm or 5:30pm. I will consider dining at Da Marino again when I won't have any time restraints.

We were fortunate enough to get to eat here due to a glitch in the online reservation system and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip! Incredible food and had a great time chatting with the bartender.

I loved Da Marino! We came there, like many others, before a show. We made a reservation and we were seated right away. Strongly recommend making a reservation. The service all night long was excellent. We had a couple of appetizers, Carpaccio and Burrata. The carpaccio was fantastic, thinly sliced, a bit of olive oil and fantastic parmesan, while the burrata was delicious with some flavorful tomatos. For the main course, she had the Linguine Carbonara and I had the Chicken Parmesan. I was able to get a taste of the linguine, and I loved it. Its not just a cream sauce like so many may be accustomed, but yolk sauce. It isn't yellow doesn't take like egg yolk (don't worry). I(t was very flavorful, not heavy, and with pancetta, carmelized onions, it was great. The chicken parm, fantastic. Plenty of gravy (sauce), chicken was cooked perfectly, and my side of pasta was also delicious. I was taking my significant birthday out for dinner, and the GM made it memorable, I can't believe I didn't ask for his name. He was great when we go there, I had noted it was her birthday on the reservation, and they were ready and gave us a great table. Come desert, not only did they provide her with a delicious pieces of NY Cheesecake (which was perfect, not too dense, not to "fluffy"). The GM and some of the staff came over to sing Happy Birthday to Elaine (he had a microphone), and we found the entire restaurant singing. It was great. Sometimes, New Yorkers get a bad rap! Everyone was great, the people next to us were really nice too. You can guarantee, when I go back to New York for a show, or just to hang in the city, I am going back!! Again, a special thanks to the GM!! I made sure to thank him before we left, told him how much we appreciated everything. This is a great restaurant to have dinner at, whether you go to a show or if you're just spending some time in NYC.

I do not think they have gift cards!? Contact them directly to enquire. Worthwhile visiting...
I dont remember specific gluten free items...but the eggplant rolatini was fabulous!
Its is a bit loud, but once you have a table you dont notice. Push your way to the front to get a table, reservations has no bearing.
They're extremely accommodating for anybody so I believe they would have a menu for children just Ask for Tom
