I got a room there with my fiancé after my sister past away, I checked in and unpacked all my luggage, laptop, and misc items then left to deal with my family situation. Upon getting back to the room I found out that we were robbed. Got a police report and camera footage and even noticed that most the rooms on the first floor did NOT have any locks on the windows. BE WARE! The investigator shared with us that this has happened before and upon further personal investigation I found luggage and other travel items (not mine) location in the wooded area around back. Vinny the owner will make it difficult for you if you stay here and fall victim to a robbery. I would avoid this dangerous hotel!

The Comfort Inn in Mount Vernon, Ohio was an excellent place to stay because of its great location in the very center of town. The room was a large space and the bed was very comfortable. We felt safe checking in and each time we came or went from the property.
