Went here after receiving a referral from my provider. When my provider sent the referral I got an automated call and text every single day to make the appointment and finally called to make the appointment with a representative. Due to my age being less than what is the normal reccomended standard I was asked why my MD had referred me, which I disclosed. Today, a month later, at my scehduled appointment, I was asked again at the front desk. Staff called out to, im assuming "higher ups" and after some time I was told that I was "all set and cleared to go." EVERY single person that I encountered staffing this location even after speakikg to front desk staff asked me the same question. The lady who did the mammogram actually seemed like she wanted to argue with me. I said to her when you all get referrals that are out of the norm why don't you call the MD who ordered it and have a conversation, a question to which I received no answer. She had me ungown asked me my name, if I was pregnant and if I had any "problems". I said what type of problems, problems with my breast, health problems...? She rolled her eyes and said hold on and left the room. As a Profesional I know that you do not have someone disrobe and then just leave them like that if you need to leave the room, so I kindly put my robe back on. She came back, asked me my name twice more and if I was pregnant again. I guess she no longer needed to know if I had "problems" because that was not asked again. Her attitude changed and she tried to be kind as I was leaving but that's not how professionalism works. You don't get to show your nasty side and think that you saying "it didn't hurt that bad right? Take care & Have a nice day" makes up for it. All in all other staff members we respectful though seemingly uninformed about me as a patient as I was handed off to them. My advice would be to make all members of the team encountering such a patient informed and aware of something that may not fit normal standards or fix the issue before it becomes one at a patients appointment and they are made to feel that thier presence in your business is a problem. I was referred, I did not show up on my own. Also be kind to everyone because you never know who your patient is. You may work withing a population where you have your own inherent and expected stereotypes but your patients are not fools.
