The train station is still standing, and the escalator is nice, but it's falling apart. The stairs seem a bit rickity and unstable, so I hope they get renovated soon. Huge amounts of bird poo, and I don't see that get cleaned very often. But it'll do it's job, it's a train station and everything works.

Hi.. In 1958 I was in the US Army station at a Nike Missle site near Amityville. Is any remnants of that site remaining today? I was 17 years old at the time. Just reminiscening.

This site has also been the location of a U.S. Navy Reserve station. It is now been demolished and a housing complex named "Liberty Village" was constructed on the site for homeless veterans. The Nike Missles were removed from their silos which were then back-filled.
