This particular Extra Space Storage was the best place I have ever rented a storage unit at. It was clean, safe, the hours were convenient, and the office staff super friendly and nice. They have these large wheeled carts to use so you don't have to make numerous trips to your vehicle. I stored the contents of my apartment here for about 2 1/2 months while moving to a new place. They didn't even ask for a 30 day notice upon move out. Unfortunately for me I didn't keep the unit. I'm being harassed by a neighbor at my new place and I'm moving out next month. Guess where I will be storing my things 😊

Early on after I got my unit 2 years back there was a issue in part of the building with fire sprinklers. I was near the back exit and could feel the high humidity in that section of the building as it was being drawn out the doors. When I moved out I noticed I had mildew issues. When I mentioned this at the time they refused to do anything about the issue. There were other issues in the 2 years there, that were also ignored. Heaven help you if you were late on a payment! I would not advise renting with them.

Local site manager is very good, but corporate customer service is non existent. Hope that you never have an issue that needs help, because you won't hear back. Security is not great. Doors to exterior are frequently propped open and individual unit walls don't go up to ceiling. Rates are also subject to big changes. My rate went up 40% after 6 months. I recommend staying away and finding a locally managed storage unit. Edit: This response from Extraspace is a perfect example of the BS customer service you can expect: An auto-generated message that doesn't solve your issue and requires you to reach out to an 800 number. You just get the run around from them until you give up.

I was initially very pleased with this company and the manager. However, we've only been customers for 3 months and we were just notified that they raised the cost of one of our rental units by over $30 a month, and I am livid!!! We have two units so we're already paying over $300 a month and they us an option of taking the lower price or first month free when we moved our stuff in, and now they've raised the price to what we would have had if we did take the first month free, so now I feel really ripped !
