Called the department because there was an abandoned car parked in the middle of a busy road downtown. We had stopped to block it with our blinkers on so that no one would crash into it. After 30 minutes, no cops. We called the non-emergency line and were told “you don’t have to stay there and that cops were focusing on life or death emergencies. Meanwhile we had almost been hit multiple times while directing cars around because people don’t pay attention. One hour later they have still not shown up. Do better!

I spoke with I believe Mark in dispatch and I asked if I could have someone escort me to an aggressive, hostile tow company to get my vehicle and he refused and said the can not help me until I go and something happens to me! I am soo shocked...this is the first state I have been in where the police would not help me in this terrible situation. Well, I went and it was extremely sketchy and the manager woman shylo did not meet me as she stated and it was some guy in no company logo,or shirt,or anything Indicating that he worked for this company and he said I had to go in this shipping container to do paperwork. When I told him I wasn't comfortable going in there he got more rude and hostile and I had to leave without my vehicle. The police even told me they have had several run ins with this tow company for this reason amd told.me to call dispatch...Thanks Colorado for helping a young woman out ...so disappointing

It's hard to get a hold of anybody when you call 911 you sit on hold. And then you're lucky if the police even come out I'm sorry to say. I support the police 100%, but you're lucky if they even show up most of the time because so short-stuffed or whatever

Beware of driving through COS in the evening. The entire city is a speed trap. On my way to the airport I saw 5+ cars pulled over in various areas around the city. I highly recommend avoiding this city at all costs. Fly to Denver where the police have better things to do than to sit on the side of the road handing out tickets. Really disappointed in you COS.

This is a good question Lyneta Unlicensed cars are a good example of what you can report, Its up to the officer to issue a citation based on the details that come back from a VIN check. So it isn't always against the law it could very well depend on the origin as previously stated.
Discipline is the only way to get control of a child that is out of control. Consistency in disciplining the child is imperative. In other words, if you tell your child to clean their room or they will lose tv privileges for a week, you have to follow through. If your child hits then put them in time out. Even if the child won't stay in time out, you have to constantly put the child back in time out until they have completed their consequence. The problem is that some parents are to lazy to be consistent. That is why we have so many entitled young people in our world. I'm not saying that this is the right course of action for your child but I hope it gives you some ideas. Stay safe stay blessed
Its 15.00 cash, check or credit card. yes, they have the fingerprint cards. If you're up north you can also go to 4110 Tutt Blvd Mon, Wed and Fri from 830 to 5.
Get ahold of the non-emergency police dept. An important question that deserves accurate answer!
I think that question is better handled by a lawyer. Good luck!

Did you guys found the lady who took my backpack if so let me know please thank you
Take license plates and call in.
The police departments webpage or through State patrol. It will automatically route you through CSP's website. However if it is a hit and run with suspect info then you'll need to contact the police department for an officer to take a report
Currently Colorado Springs has a shortage of Police to respond to anything. If you need non-emergency assistance it could take up to three days to get help, if the dispatchers don't turn you down first. I recommend checking the western slope cities.
You may apply as long as you meet all the minimum requirements, have the education requirement, and have the documentation stating you can legally work in the United States.
I cannot legally answer, but I can as a Mother myself. When my son was young, we never allowed him outside alone. Too many creeps and unknowns. Children tend to be trusting. I'm sure a more knowledgeable person will answer this better than I. Good luck, Brittany.
Why would the Police Officers be worried? Their only doing their job. Higher uppers give the orders.

I believe it's a no cost service.
Stay in contact with both the officer and bank.
24/7
It's probably best to call the non emergency number, and get a police report filed
That is better to be answered by a cop not me sorry...
