The food doesn't match the experience!! But the experience affects how you feel about the food! I can't lie the food was good, but literally everything leading up to being sat at the table was BAD!! Wait time is horrible to say the least! Like the absolute worst!! The approximate times are off by more than a few minutes. Staff at host stand are horrible! Being a hostess is stressful... i get it, but each new person that walks up doesn't deserve to be talked down to because the hostess is stressed. It’s the hostess job, its hard!!! The Bathroom was broken so our waitress suggested that we go next door but next door wasn't aware people were being sent over. So you know there was an issue. And the greater issue was it was a child that needed to use the bathroom. Can an establishment even operate without a working bathroom? Anywho let's talk about this food since that’s the important part. I got the fried turkey chop, Mac and cheese, and yams. We also go the lobster bites as an appetizer. The lobster bites came with the same dipping as vegetable rolls. The bites were ok... a little salty to me, but it was fried really good. Does that make sense. I wasn't too soft or too crunchy, it was fried just right. They were also pretty meaty, so you get your monies worth if this is something you want to order. They don't have a lot of appetizers so if you real hungry, these aren't enough to take the edge off! The pork chop came dry, no gravy or anything. It was good, but i did have to ask for gravy. It was kinda thick but fried to perfection. This place can fry good! Lol Yams were mah! Not bad, but not good. The Mac and cheese was amazing! Definitely hit the spot. I had water and it was never refilled until we were all done eating. Actually nobody’s drinks were refilled. I’m really torn about whether to give a 2 or 3 stars because all though the food was good, the service was bad! I personally wouldn’t suggest to go back, but if someone suggested i would ask how long would i have to wait, the last time they went, and i would really contemplate if i want to be aggravated. The food was good but not that good to wait as long as we did and to be treated as poorly as we were.

Good service, nice space. Short rib, Mac n cheese, lobster bites, fries, greens, and mashed potatoes were all Good. Green beans were salty, cornbread was more like cake, and the yams were very sweet. My friends enjoyed their fish

I had a really good experience here! I did have to wait an hour and half for seating but it was well worth it. I got fried chicken, collard greens, and yams. Everything was hot and well seasoned 10/10!! Highly recommend.
