Peace of Mind, gave me more than peace of mind during my stay there! The atmosphere of cleanliness, acceptance, structure, recovery, and dgenuine love we're in abundance!! The foundation, POM provided me for my continued recovery after leaving Gibson House for Men in December 2021, has remained a part of my life! Jennifer, is welcoming, caring, loving and super sincere! Frank, and Don and Rudy were also valuable assets to my recovery! It was bittersweet to leave two weeks ago onto my next step in recovery and in life!! While I was at POM, the commodore, vibes and energy were jumping with Verve and community!! I truly thank all of you at PEACE OF MIND, FOR PROVIDING ME A PEACE OF MIND, WHILE I BUILT MYSELF UP FROM THE FLOOR UP!! MUCH LOVE TO YOU ALL!!! BEST SOBER LIVING HOME I'VE EVER BEEN TO IN KY 2 YEARS OF RELAPSE AND RECOVERY!! HANDS DOWN!! KUDOS!!

I absolutely love this home, the minute I walked into this door I was welcomed with open arms. The women here are so loving, caring, and beyond helpful. This home is the perfect place of structure for a sober life. I am so grateful to be given a chance to experience a new way to live. The owner here is amazing, thank you Jennifer and Frank for having the opportunity to reside here.

Overall, it is a good place to be. However, the new (old) house manager has a bit to work on. He does not LISTEN or comprehend what you are telling him! My roommate left and he entered my room asking why I was there. I gave him my name and told him that my roommate had left. He responded by calling me by another name and asking why I was in that room (I was put there). I had to explain that two of my roommates had left and I was the only person assigned to that room. He again asked me why I was in there... Move forward less than a week and, yes, I was not sober. I had blown out my knee so the house manager administered a breathalyzer based upon my "walking funny". I admit that I was wrong in this case. HOWEVER, I got kicked to the curb (literally) and was sent to the ER to discuss my alcohol use. It never registered with the house manager that I could barely walk. Long story short, they put me on the streets with nowhere to go, on crutches. My phone was dead and I didn't have a charger. I slept in front of a homeless shelter the first night, then I moved on to bigger and better homelessness (for 2 nights), sleeping behind a liquor store, getting human feces on my shoes (the smell is quite distinctive). After a gracious person working at Stater Brothers on Iowa allowed me to make a phone call, I was able to contact help.

Very helpful, very friendly atmosphere. Anytime I have had any trouble with something someone is always right there to help out, or help point me in the right direction. Both Jennifer and Denise are very understanding to each individuals situation. The girls at the house are amazing, easy to get along with and provide good company and good friends. I have learned a lot, grown a lot, and have gotten on the right track towards achieving my goals at 'A Peace of Mind". #gratefulrecoveringaddict
