The front desk was friendly and polite (about the only thing good I have to say). The location is good but be prepared to pay for your parking during your stay and if you have more than 1 vehicle plan on taking it to 9th st garage, the room was already sandy when we arrived and we never had room service nor did they ask if we needed anyone during our 4 night stay. There was hair in the bathroom and the beds were so freaking uncomfortable, I wanted to stay another night but could not take the bed anymore. Rooms are really small, the fridge did not have a freezer department either

The floor tiles in the room and bathroom need to be replaced not a deal breaker but for the price the floors should be updated. Overall- we had an amazing experience, great location. We loved staying here, going out to the balcony and seeing the ocean, fishing pier dolphins etc. Breakfast was beyond expectations - huge selection and very efficient manager and staff running it. VA Beach is our vacation spot for 20+ years now stayed at Sandcastle many times and will recommend to anyone!

The room was not clean. Floor was dirty and there was build up of dust/sand/hair along the floors corners. Walls had marks on them that could be wiped down. There was an ant problem in the bathroom. Beds and bedding are not the best, and the pillows were very hard and lumpy. The service was also poor. I felt like all the workers I needed to make contact with were always irritated, they didn't come off as welcoming or friendly. They are not cleaning rooms at all during your stay(covid reasons,). We called to replace our old towels with new ones. The lady at the desk said they'd be up , we waited 3 hours, left, went out and got lunch did some shopping and still nothing.I had to go down and ask and get them myself. Best thing about this hotel is the location.

Just the Ticket A last-minute booking at a great price (ton and a half) resulted in finding this gem on the boardwalk, by the pier. Breakfast, featuring Americana staples, was stocked sufficiently and there was some fresh fruit too. Parking is included and the second floor is ideal for Senior Citizens to gain access to the hotel, sans stairs. Be sure to check in first as you need a hotel key for access from the parking deck. As usual, staffing makes a difference. The team, including Christine and Pam were accommodating as were the Ocean’s 14 staff for dinner on the boardwalk itself. Some live music, on a Tuesday night no less, added to what has to be a, for the money, five-star review. Bravo BW+ team. We will see you again.

Yes, it shows also in one of the pictures. There is a nominal cost to go on the pier.
Yes and they have complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby.
I was there for about a week in September 2018. Absolutely love the hotel. Hope to stay at that exact hotel my next visit to Virginia Beach!
I'm not 100 percent sure what you're asking. But the check in door is under cover so if it's raining or transporting vampires you should be good. There are also doors from the parking garage door to the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors (although the 5th is an open deck). You may also enter from the beachside and those doors are uncovered.
I didnt think they did but You may want to call and ask as i saw a couple people with dogs in the motel, though they were walking in the hallway
They have King rooms on the 9th floor that have jetted tubs.
I do not believe so. Just in door/out door pools.
