An essential walk. Street after street of perfectly maintained and restored old houses. Small food shops for the necessary break. It is for walking and I do not suggest a bus tour.

Friendly, helpful staff and a clean, well-lit, and quiet space to do work. The computer stations are easy to use, and the onsite printing is great. A friend of mine in the neighborhood praises their children's section in the basement, says she loves to bring her kiddos here regularly. Beautiful colonial revival building, and the adjacent park (Book Hill) is a lovely place to read outdoors. Note: It took me ~2 minutes online and ~2 minutes in person on the same day to get a library card, and so far all the services (online and in-person) have worked flawlessly! A+ for the DC library system!

I love the view of Virginia from the back of the library. The location is called "Book Hill".

Overdrive?

Can I search the card catalogue from here? (I'm looking for ""Quarks, Chaos, and Christianity: Questions to Science and Religion," by John Polkinghorne.)
