got here right when they opened to get my birth certificate apostilled, it took maybe 10 minutes tops. Can't speak for when it's busy, but the actual apostille process takes literally 2 minutes

Make an appointment. One time we were able to get one without an appointment but that was a very specific issue which had already been dealt with earlier.
