Super peaceful! We went on a Sunday and there weren't a lot of people on the grounds. Beautiful.

December 1st will be the first night for the lights!
The visitor center is always open everyday. Execpt sundays. You will definitely feel a good atmosphere when you go. I guarantee it. It's a wonderful place.
The lights are up outside the visitors center as of last Saturday the 18th. There are trees beautifully decorated inside and each has a different theme.
When we went, there was many accomodations for this with mobile issues, from a shorter line to get in, to elevators instead of stairs.. the staff and volunteers exceeded themselves in making the experience a positive one
I've heard that the Visitor's Center will remain open but the lighting will not be as extensive. Not sure about performances or a calendar.
The project is expected to be completed sometime in 2020. Following the remodel, the public will be invited to tour the temple during an open house. After the open house, the temple will be rededicated.

It is an angel named Moroni. He brought to light the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It's a history and testimony of prophets in the ancient Americas. With this new information, and additional revelation from God, the prophet Joseph Smith was then able to restore the same church that Jesus established when He was on the earth.
Construction is to begin first week of March and last about 18-24 months
Thank you; I just arrived in this country and I went on Sunday and it was not open. I want to go to the church on Sunday.
